Don’t quit…do it again!
I have spent a number of years just as most of you to get the one man qualified to be President in the White House. The man who actually won the election hands down in 2000. The one man who would have retained the dignity of the office and would have committed our resources to the country that actually attack us and the odds are great we would now have Bin Laden.
Our cost would have been in reason since rebuilding a country with no infrastructure is minimal. We were after all wasting very expensive bombs on buildings we had already bombed and open waste land just to create the need to purchase more, newer and very expensive bombs.
Over the last eight years our Senators, House members and Executive branch has done nothing but champagne for some office. Hell, there were some who even died during the champagne and were stilled elected. Now that says more than can be put into the words of man.
My point is this. We know our elected officials will do nothing unless it benefits them. We know of the deceit, half truths and out and out lies all for their profit and power. And we know far too well the continuous run for President. We have had almost 2 years of the same Bull S**t as if there was no other news anywhere in the World.
While I do not believe Gore will enter this race I do believe it is worth the effort to spend the next four years using every effort offered us to try and get him on the next ticket. We have done it before…why not once more. By then the country may well be in such a disaster he will feel he has not other choice if the country is to be saved.
Besides I made a deal with earthmother and I’ve made it a habit of honoring my deals.
I agree with you on all qualifications of Gore. Nobody...NOBODY is better suited to fix the entire mess brought to us courtesy of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney!
Having said that, I'm reasonably satisfied that Barack Obama has fewer ulterior motives than her rivals. He really does have few (if any) ties to special interests (it's not just talk), thus will be less compelled to make concessions to them. He may well be the closest we've come to being a president for the people than we've had in a long time.
So I would certainly not give up on this election. Obama is a decent alternative. And I'm sure Clinton supporters feel the same about their candidate.
If someday Al does want to run for Prez again...great! I'm there.
Oh I'll vote for Obama if he makes it and I hope he does.
But I'll spent the time I've left working to get Gore on the ticket after Obama's four years are up.
We need Al NOW.
It's crucial.
