Injecting 'Terror' into Campaign 2008
By Robert Parry
February 6, 2008
As Campaign 2008 reaches a critical point, George W. Bush’s top intelligence officials are raising new alarms about a revitalized al-Qaeda recruiting Westerners, possibly including Americans, to carry out terror attacks inside the United States.
http://www.consortiumnews.com/2008/020608.htmlThis one is not only to help boost passage of the wretched FISA bill, but also to boost the image of "Warmonger as President" to protect us.
What Parry doesn't point out is that admittedly, IF there are westerners in training camps abroad, then the best defense is not to snoop on Americans. It's to secure the borders that Bush keeps in leaking like a sieve condition. If they "know" there are Americans in those camps, it's a good bet they really also know just who they are.
Alleged problem will not be resolved by alleged sollution- oh duh
Unfortunately, this could also be the set up for an "event" inside the United States before the elections and the ramifications that follow- if before the end of the primaries, then a push for HRC. If after, then McCain. Well, actually, it would be a big boost for McCain anyway.
I think most of America is fed up with this war or war period- but the MSM will never divulge the obvious: how this administration spends funds like crazy on war but totally ignores the logical ways to defend from outside infiltration.
