The Fairness Doctrine works like this...If Limbaugh or anybody tells a fabrication about on individuals like Hillary Clinton or John McCaine...then stations he broadcasts on would be REQUIRED to give them both EQUAL TIME for rebuttal at NO COST! And that goes for ANYBODY these Poobahs LIE about! Since THEY lie on people about 99% of the time...radio station managers would be inundated with HOURS of rebuttal time!....Since station managers NEED to make MONEY off of ALL the AM Radio schedule they would drop these LIARS like HOT ROCKS!...IF LIMBAUGH, HANNITY, LEVIN, BECK,SAVAGE and Company would just QUIT TELLING LIES about PEOPLE and ATTACKING THEM...THEY would HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!...Like a POLYGRAPH TEST...THEIR FEAR OF THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE JUST PROVES HOW MANY LIES THEY TELL ON THE AIR!...If THEY were telling the TRUTH then they would have NOTHING to FEAR! :dripple:

I am a firm supporter of the Fairness Doctrine. The beauty of it is that it not only protects famous people but it protects the common person. People that don't have a platform like politicians and celebrities. It gives us the right to that platform to defend ourselves.

The public does want it too end and has for a long time now.

But I feel that a United American would not have ended it in two years. A United American would have been given the truth of the situation to make sound judgements and not just the edited version that Bush decided to release. There would have been no need for 932 lies to sell us on a needless war. So there would not have been a war.

Sorry Al001...what I mean is when the Democrats took over at the end of 2006...which actually wasn't two years ago...more like a year ago...the 'groundless' war that Dubya put us into would have been over...but BU$H yet sits in a position where he veto pens ANYTHING that would even remotely bring an end to the Iraqi Invasion...THAT is why I am saying until BU$H is ejected from office we won't get ANYTHING done! :!:
