On Hannity's show he kept using sound bites of Hillary Clinton dispersed with a quote from black preacher in Harlem that supposedly supports her saying "Go to H#ll White Man!" First it was Clinton and then THAT quote. Then it was Clinton again, and again THAT quote. Clinton is NOT playing the 'race card' and Obama is NOT playing the 'gender' card. THAT is what the neocons WANT you to believe!

These are Skinnerian, Pavlovian tactics. If Sean Hannity & Karl Rove THINKS they can 'ring a political bell' and we will all salivate on command then THEY are sadly mistaken!

It's actually INSULTING! But the Lowest Common Denominator living in their ramshackle trailers, cleaning their guns, and watching Jerry Springer on TV when they aren't on the show are easily trained I guess! It makes me shudder that these folks actually breed, much less vote!

papa, you are also correct about the wars hurting our economy. Every time a barrel of oil spikes up to $100 then all the interest rate 'dollar devaluting' cuts made by the Fed get sucked up by the oil companies. As long as we keep troops in Iraq and threaten her neighbors expect energy prices to go UP, and our markets to DROP like a stone!

Ron Paul is correct in saying that it is all these added BILLIONS in defense spending along with FREE HANDOUTS to nations like Iraq that is HURTING our national economy. It MUST stop NOW!

The invasion and occupation of Iraq is such a tragedy

Lost in the debate over whether or not the surge is working is this question. Is this war legal? Is this war moral? I believe the answer is no.

The big lie is that the Iraq war is part of the 'war on terror' and that we are fighting Al-Queda. The truth is that this war has nothing to do with Al-Queda, nothing to do with the attacks of 9/11 and nothing to do with terrorism. Invading Iraq was not a legitimate act of self-defense, it was an international war crime.

If I'm a nut case and I fear that one of my neighbors 'might' hurt me sometime in the future do I have the right to go to their house and shoot them dead? Is that how the United States of America should behave around the world?

Part of the tragedy is that when George H.W. Bush was president and Iraq invaded Kuwait back in 1990 the first President Bush declared that "this aggression will not stand" and we went to war to uphold international law. We went to war to uphold the principle that the world cannot stand by while a larger nation invades a smaller nation to take their oil. Now we are living the nightmare where George W. Bush has committed the same international war crime of invading another nation for no good reason that his father went to war to stop.

Imagine a criminal who kidnaps and murders a child. A brutal heinous crime. Compare that to a person in power who starts a war for no good reason. I say that is a thousand times worse. Thousands of our soldiers are dead and somewhere on the order of a half-million Iraqis are dead because Bush, Cheney, and their Neo-Con conspirators ordered and perpetuated this illegitimate war.

I believe Bush and Cheney should first be impeached in the House and then convicted in the Senate and then sent to The Hague to face charges of international war crimes. An international court was what we did to high level Japanese and German officials at the end of WWII. America needs to show the world and demonstrate to our own people that our President in not immune, is not above international law.

I agree with everything you posted except the "our president" part. That vile THIEF and CRIMINAL that is running around the country and the world calling himself pRESIDENT was never, is not now and will never be my PRESIDENT. I have never accepted him or the results of the stolen 2000 election and never will. As far as I'm concerned I still refer to him as the THIEF.

And of course he should be IMPEACHED for all his crimes, it should have been done years ago. Obviously he must be above the law because nothing has been done to stop him. He gets away with rigging and stealing two elections and all his other crimes of the past 7+ years. :bad:
