My husband said he heard on MSNBC tonight that now that Kucinich and Edwards are out of the race, he'll run if he can get the funding. :!:

Did anyone else hear about this?

Yes and I'm sure he'll get funding from the GOP like he did in 2000 and 2004.

Bastard!

:wtf: I am sick and tired of Nader insinuating himself into the election when he KNOWS he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

This just pisses me off to no end!! I just hope the hell that the Independents and others will SEE right thru this and will vote Democrat. We CANNOT survive another Repug in office!! Especially John McCain!!

Here's what Nader said:

QUOTE
"When Kucinich threw in the towel, now you have Edwards gone who's going to carry the torch of democratic populism against the relentless domination of powerful corporations of our government?" Nader said. "You can't just brush these issues to the side because the candidates are ignoring them."

Yeah, I read that. It's one thing for a person to run to bring important issues to the forefront. I don't have a problem with that. I did vote for Ross Perot twice because he was passionate about his issues. Some may have thought he was wacko, but he was very inspirational and really seemed to care about the issues.

Nader, on the other hand, does not come across to me as caring squat about anything other than being a spoiler. It would not surprise me one bit if the Repugs are funding his whole campaign. They can't win fair and square, can they?

But I am hopeful that the Democrats can pull this off - just going on the record turnout they've been having compared to the Rethugs. Nader has worn out his welcome and surely people are catching on to his game by now. :spikey:
