Title: Nash-gate?

TNblue - January 4, 2008 05:13 AM (GMT)
I've been sort of out of pocket for the past week and a half, but after hearing about this on the local news for several days I'm beginning to think this thing could turn out to be a lot bigger than it seemed to be at first. It's looking more and more suspicious as an inside job.

In a nutshell, a computer with all the names and SSNs of registered voters in Davidson County, (that's Nashville), TN, was stolen. Strangely, more is being revealed about how security systems were not in place, or turned off at the time of the robbery. Something smells very fishy in Music City.

"Whittemore said security cameras at the election commission office did not record on the night of the crime because someone unplugged the recorder."

Not much new, except for finger pointing.

I'm just piling some misc. bits and pieces here in case something ever gels.

Hackers Force Pa. to Shut State Web Site
Published: 1/4/08, 9:05 PM EDT

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Hackers infiltrated Pennsylvania's government Web site on Friday, forcing administrators to shut down nearly the entirely site for several hours.

Hackers broke into the pages of the departments of Labor and Industry, Education, and Military and Veterans Affairs, as well as the Pennsylvania Lottery, said Mia DeVane said, a spokeswoman for the Office of Administration.

DeVane said state information technology officers also learned Friday that four other states and a university had been attacked in a similar manner.

It wasn't immediately clear which other state Web sites were attacked. A message left with the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center seeking comment wasn't immediately returned.

Investigators tracked the source of the attack to a domain registered in China, she said.

DeVane said there was no reason to think anyone's personal data had been compromised or that any damage occurred when a hacker "got into what we would say is a back door."

By late afternoon, nearly all of the state's site had been put back online.

"It was more that we needed to take down those sites to make sure a virus couldn't spread," she said.

It is not unusual for the state's computer system to be the target of hackers, but having problems at four separate branches of state government prompted the decision to take down nearly the entire system, she said.

Well ... if I say inside job by the Bush gang, I will be called a conspiracy theorist here.

But

What the hell

That is exactly what it is

Another inside job .... just like 9-11-2001

So there

Rev, I THINK we can talk about this one! Here's the rub...If McCaine doesn't pull NH out of his backsides then they have Giuliani waiting on the sidelines down in Florida...OR They might be setting McCaine up again like they did in 2000 just so he can lose to Rudy in the GOP primaries again!...None the less, THAT way they have TWO Neocon picks to scare voters under the bed...Rudy would definitely BE another BU$H...shoving a WAR in Iran and dictums down our throats from the Bully Pulpit!...Besides, Neocon, Ari Fleischer was on FAUX touting both McCaine and Giuliani even though Huckabee WON the Iowa Caucus! :!:

Romney came in SECOND...yet the NEOCONS tout McCaine & Giuliani who wasn't even there? As I say, KEEP YOUR EYES ON WHO THEY SAY WILL WIN! RU$H, BECK, and HANNITY do NOT want Huckabee and Romney!...THEY WANT A GODLESS BABY KILLER LIKE GIULIANI! ;)

In 2000 they had Florida to fix the vote...in 2004 they had Ohio to do the same...THIS time seems like they MAY use Tennessee and ANOTHER State....Pennsylvania... to fix the vote! :dripple:

This Cornspiracy doesn't involve killing folks....yet!...So it's OK! ;)

Rev Wally as for the other subjects...Remember the movie "Poltergeist"? I'm the Little Ol' Lady telling Craig Nelson (that's you) who is holding on to the rope...STEVEN...NOT YET! :good:

But he pulled on it and the BIG MONSTER DEMON CAME OUT AND TRIED TO EAT HIM!...But you'll pull on THAT rope Rev Wally!...Because I KNOW YOU! :!:

BUT THE TIME IS COMING SOON! WE HAVE OBAMA, CLINTON, EDWARDS, and OUR SECRET GOP WEAPON who I WILL NOT NAME! WE WILL HAVE OUR DAY! THEY WILL BE FROG MARCHING.....SOON! :good:

Report cites flaw in state's voting
Only 2 counties keep paper trail to verify ballots

(snip)

Several other states are grappling with issues involving electronic voting machines.

Florida's "hanging chads" in the disputed 2000 Al Gore-George W. Bush election exposed the imperfection of paper ballot counting and helped lead to a $3 billion government initiative to require states to move to electronic equipment.

(snip)

States without paper trails
Texas
Louisiana
Arkansas
Kansas
Indiana
Kentucky
Tennessee
Georgia
South Carolina
Virginia
Pennsylvania
Delaware
