The Repubs called Al crazy when he gave his past 3 or 4 speeches, yet they went aboslutley off the hinges in New York bashing all Dems and John Kerry. Now it is time for Al to speak the truth again and go after these thugs demeaning Kerry.
I hope he gives a major speech really soon. I think it will help get Kerry going back. Notice ever since Kerry's surragots have been hushed, he has went down. Face it, Kerry needs Gore, Dean, ect.
Go Al!
I,m very sorry, no one hates Bush any more than I do, but if Mr. Kerry needs "help" from anyone (either to campaign for him, deflect criticism from him, or just to "cover his back," or whatever else) he apparently isn't the candidate everyone would like him to be. Maybe he's just what I, and every single poll that came out during the campaign, have been saying for a long time: John Kerry was, is, and will always be -- during this election -- the best candidate available out of 10 not-very-good choices.
The other night I watched some news channel as Terry McCauliff tried to explain Kerry's sudden flop in the polls (even before the Repub convention and Bush's traditional "convention bounce" that is sure to come). He actually tried to say that Kerry is a great candidate and used the campaign as one of his justifications. He sat there and confidently declared how strong Kerry was and how he proved it by winning all those states during the campaign. (NEWS ALERT, TERRY! He won all those states ONLY because the other nine were worse choices).
Anybody but Bush is not good enough!!!! The majority of the American people are about to have the second election in a row taken from them. 2000 was stolen from the rightful president, the clear Peoples' choice; 2004 is about to be taken away from the People because the only Democratic candidate is simply the "best one available". Just not good enough!
I hate Bush, too; and I can't possibly imagine how incredibly bad four more years of him are going to be; but all indicators are starting to look like this race is already over. Bush's lies about Kerry's war heroism have taken too much of a toll.
But maybe, just maybe, now is the time to realize this might be the blessing in disguise we have been hoping for -- our best case scenario. Al Gore can come back even stronger in 2008 (not 2012) and say, "See what I've been trying to tell you", and he can rightfully lay claim to the office that was stolen from him as the strongest candidate and RIGHTFUL president.
One more thing, please. I believe Al has had this scenario in mind all along. Remember him talking about Nixon's comeback to the presidency? Al has known all along that Kerry can't win. Remember, also, how he gave all his remaining campaign money to the party, Tennessee, and Florida? Ever wondered why he gave the money where he did?
Repairing his political bridges!!!!
Four more years of Bush is bad, but I respectfully submit to all of you that this is the best thing we could have hoped for: Al Gore in 2008!!
p.s. I have also previously said that Hillary is still not ready to be the first female president, though I'm convinced she is the only one out there who could. Imagine eight years of GORE/CLINTON. Eight years as Al's vice president will GIVE her the presidency in 2016. Possible????
Well said son of liberty! I totally and strongly agree with you!
I AGREE TOO..
This notion that everyone is behind Kerry or this "facade" is just ridiculous.
We will end up losing in 2004, because no-one stood up to say that Kerry is SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH
President Gore, this country needs you now more than ever

SonOfLiberty1 Nobody on the planet hates THIEF Bush more than I do. AL GORE is my PRESIDENT and Bush stole that from me--------UNFORGIVABLE. The arrogant republicans are so jealous when the REAL PRESIDENT speaks. He is so much more intelligient than any of them and he always speaks the truth. The republicans are a bunch of lying, thieving obnoxious thugs that are ruining the country as well as the world.
