The article is in today's daily news
I CANNOT CUT PASTE as this board does not allow it for at least 1/2 the people (if you can its most likely you used to be a mod and mod's have high exaulted pwoers common folk don't have)
and I hand copied the link
It worked before
If you put the headline
Frampton may be ace up sleeve in the City Hall confidential by Kirsten Danis it will show up in google
Or email her yourself at kdanis@nydailynews.com
In the article it states
George Frampton, a former top White HOuse official who is very close to former VP Al Gore
Frampton fought AND WON, a legal battle that helped get former Illinois Rep. John Anderson on the ballot as an independent in every state in 1980.
And Bloomberg was in Bali.
So the facts are true.

James,
I have been reading these boards for quite some time and while you might not agree with anything Reelectalgore2008 has to say, I don't think it is necessary to be so incredibly rude to him every time he posts something - it is really disturbing. I too had problems with the link in the original post, but was easily able to find the article on the website. Please, everyone wants Al Gore to be the next president, we don't need anger interjected all the time here, and every post you make when it comes to Reelectalgore2008 has anger and/or hostility associated with it. Just give Peace a chance.

Well then don't read my posts and mind your business. You've been here less than 2 months and have no idea of the history which goes back over two years so get off your high horse and quit lecturing people on things that you know absolutely nothing about.

There's at least one good reason why Mayor Bloomberg may not run for President: He doesn't like the odds.
"I don't know that it would be possible to win," Bloomberg told the Daily News while in Indonesia last week for a United Nations conference on global warming. |
And:

I'd humbly suggest that irrespective of who's been here for various lengths of time we should all be polite. How would Al react to this if he wanted to read and/or post here? I think he knows that we need all the positive energy we can come up with to face the challenges ahead.
As a point of trivia I signed onto this board in February 2007, though I've been following Al Gore since 1988.
Texan for Gore - December 16, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
scalbers, I agree. I posted a not so nice response to a poster here Friday night and after reading your response, I realized I was out of line, so I deleted it. I felt like he/she was a troll, but still, I should have just stayed out of it.
Thanks for the reminder. ;)
misspooh - December 16, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
James,
I have been here much longer than two months - much much longer, just haven't signed on until recently. Therefore, I DO know something about what I see on this board. That said, your rude reply to me is case in point. It doesn't appear that you have much to say that is nice or respectful to anyone. I think many others on this board, while they may not agree with something that someone has to say, in general are polite about it for the most part. All I am suggesting is that you try and not be so negative and hostile in your responses all the time, I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way.
ReElectAlGore2008 - December 17, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
James- I posted the article which indeed did exist.
Matter of fact, I did not even comment in the first post, just posted a link for
people to read the article.
And as you read it and quoted from it, you saw it existed, yet did you apologize for calling me a liar?
I did not say more than what was in the article
You can put 2 and 2 and get 4 or maybe not.
Mr. Frampton was indeed assistant secretary of the interior under Clinton
And he was Gore's personal attorney.
And he was the one who helped Anderson get on all ballots.
The headline clearly states for anyone who read it James, Long Prez odds deter Mike
So it's not as if I am hiding anything as you seem to accuse me of.
I posted an article, it's there for anyone to read.(and everyone on this board is
smart, which is why people are here-so they have the ability on their own to
decide if they agree or disagree with the article. They don't need you to spin
it before they even read it. (I myself hate spin. Sheesh, people watched 3 debates in 2000 and those that did thought Al won big time, same as debates in 2004...spin changed people's minds...SIGH...
There are connections to 2008 and to Al Gore in that article, whether you James like it or not...
You may not like Mike Bloomberg, but if at the end of the day either Mike helps Al become President, or Mike helps roll back the impending doom of Global warming,I say that is a good thing.
And Mike Bloomberg has the money to instantly help someone or himself in a run for the presidency
(I may be wrong, but I believe Bloomberg needs to actually be on the ticket
to use a billion of his own money...or be directly associated.
I do not think someone can just give that amount to a candidate.(as there are laws, sure if I am wrong you will correct me.)
That amount of money can bypass the media and make your own media and buy up tons of TV time (for Al, Obama or Himself).
They could buy blocks of time on the stations (1/2 hour, hour), and of course then get free time on the cable stations who will talk about it.
And James, I for one do not wish to wait for 2012, and neither do most people
here because we don't know what else can happen the next 4 years.(however some of us don't think all Democrats are great people, btw, did you read today how Joe Lieberman is going to endorse John McCain for President tomorrow-talk
about loyalty.)
You may not agree, and you have a right to your opinion, noone is stopping you.
(And if it turns out not this time but 4 or 8 or 12 years, then you and I are going to argue for 4 or 8 or 12 years on this like we have for the last, what 5 years almost now.)
But at the end of the day, I know James you want Al in office as much as I do, and you would end up voting for him no matter what party is next to his name, or however he got on the ticket(dem/liberal/independent/unity, whatever).
And I don't stop you or ask you to not give your opinion like you(and two or three others out of 100s) do to me.
Because there is NOONE here that knows for sure what is on Al's mind or what is going to happen this year
So we are all just giving our thoughts, posting articles and any of us may be right or may be wrong.

When most people post an article they usually post the title of the article in the header. That is the honest way to do it. But you didn't do that. You cherry picked one minor element of it to imply something more than what was there.
Your subsequent post again cherry picked parts of the article that when read in a vacumn could be used to support your theory while ignoring those that would refute it. Another dishonest practice.
As far as Bloomberg, I don't trust him. He is a political opportunist without principles or loyalty. He is as bad as Lieberman. When it suited him he bowed down at Bush's feet. He had his police force detain people without charge for days during the 2004 convention.

True we should try to be polite. But sometimes it is hard to be polite to someone when they have repeatedly insulted Gore, calling him a coward and worse. Or has called anyone that disagrees with his theories a traitor. After you've put up with that for more than 4 years it is hard to be polite someone regardless of how reasonable they seem at the moment.
misspooh - December 17, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
James,
In no way was I trying to pick a fight with you, I simply suggested that you not be so hostile in all your posts - be a little more positive, and you responded again with more hostility in telling me to shut up. There was no reason to respond to ReelectAlGore's original post with the hostility that you used when you replied to it. He simply posted a link, with no comments whatsoever, that didn't happen to work. You could have just reposted with a link that worked and just made note of the fact that the original link didn't work, but you were very rude in your retort to his posting and I just think it was uncalled for - what is the point of doing something like that? That is why I commented the way I did. If you think I am trying to pick a fight with you, you're very wrong. I guess you just don't like it when someone comments on your rude behavior. And I do have a right to speak up, even though you may disagree.

Again you have no knowledge of the history so you should stay out of it.
Did you know that Clay has repeatedly insulted Gore, calling him a coward and worse?
Did you know that Clay has called those that disagree with him traitors and tells them to go post somewhere else?
Did you know that Clay has made outrageous accusations against people, including murder, without a shread of evidence to back up what he said?
Did you know that Clay has been doing the above on this and other Draft Gore boards for over 4 years now?
My guess is that you didn't. So get off your high horse and stop lecturing about things that you know nothing of.
ReElectAlGore2008 - December 17, 2007 10:22 AM (GMT)
more lies and 1/2 truths
When I said things it is because one can't just talk the talk. They need to walk the walk.
And while you may consider Al God, I consider hima human being like all of us.
I consider politicians need to be in office to do good.
Just talking does not accomplish his goals.
No one is going to just hand him the nomination like you & Jan seem to think he will (even if he deserves that, it won't happen in this universe.) Even if there is a brokered, the Al scenerio is a billion to one shot, more likely a deal will be made by Obama & Hillary if that happened to combine themselves as one.
As for my argument about Vince Foster, well google vince and wonder why an all around nice guy who was happy go lucky ended up dead in the park.(with no blood anywhere around him). IN your world James, Jimmy Hoffa committed suicide too.
You may idolize the Clinton's- I myself do not and will never vote for them.
Go idolize them on her board. Nothing here states I have to like the Clinton's.
Nor does it say something smells rotten in the world including what we were lied
to about 9-11
(In your world James, the air at the WTC must have been fine for the school kiddies to breathe, because to you James, no one lies, everything the media says
is true...so go defend Christie Todd Whitman- kids will die, Christie has blood on her hands, that makes her a "murderer" too. Why is it she is so desperately trying to get her name out of that lawsuit (could it be she doesn't want to end up in jail or sued for the 100s of millions she owns?)
James-As for the tech stuff with regard to this board-
you do not seem to understand, some people on this specific board
can NOT cut/paste anything either to post or to take it elsewhere
It states, and always has, I do not have board permission to use the AlGoreSupport articles, etc.
Maybe James, because YOU used to be a mod, you have that ability, but I never
had it.
And no other way works
I HAND-TYPED it in, and if the link was moved, it still led you to daily news site, with a search bar and just putting those keywords in brought the article up(which was listed on page one in the headline part a bit down on the page.)
All I did was post a link with NO comment whatsoever that you tore apart.
Why are you trying to have people not read the article, stop them from learning
that Al Gore's personal attorney in the past and friend is mentioned with Mike Bloomberg?
It always seems like you are trying to have people not learn about things like
that.
IF Al Gore does something in tandem with Bloomberg and possibly Obama,
and you don't wish to follow Al Gore, that is your right
But if it happens you yourself cannot stop it just by being rude
All your rest of the argument here is a straw-dog one, having nothing to do with
this specific article I posted.
You James are tyring to get people to not read this, so you resort to a personal attack on me, hoping people are fed up with the bickering, they won't read
the article.
James, that doesn't work. People here are too smart. They read the article
and can decide themselves.
You cannot hide it from them. That would make you James the mainstream media who has hidden most stuff from everyone.
Thank God there are a few columnists who write freely still.

So Michael Bloomberg is being advised and was in Bali with Al Gore at the same time, and the man advising Bloomberg is noted attorney Frampton, who was
Al Gore's personal attorney
Attorney Frampton is also of note as he was the one who filed lawsuits and secured a place for John Anderson in John's independent run in 1980
That is why this story is important and a must watch for all Al Gore fans
This is extremely interesting. All the rest is a red herring by someone who doesn't want you for some reason to know about this possible union that it implies

Thank you for posting the link, Reelect. I think there is significance to the article. If nothing else, I think Al has at least considered running Independent. He may have stated at one time that he couldn't support Bloomberg because Bloomberg is an Independent and he (Al) is a Democrat, but he was speaking in present tense. That could always change.
Anyway, I understand about the cut/paste problem because it does the same thing to me - says I am not allowed to use anything from AGSC. It's the effort that counts and any news about Al Gore is important, I think. If you find or hear anything else regarding this, please feel free to post it. I'd be interested in reading it. :)

While I cannot "cut-and-paste" here either, technically, you can still select text here (or anwhere else) you want to copy, hit Control-C (for Windows), then paste it anywhere you want, including here. You just cannot right-click.
As for the Vince Foster theories, if you think the Clintons had him murdered, well then, maybe you truly are a kook. Even the somewhat sane right-wingers accept that he committed suicide. Still, people are entitled to whatever stupid opinions they may hold. And I am entitled to call you a kook.

I don't think there's anything special about 'cut and paste' and this site. The only thing is, no one can 'cut' from this site, we can only quote. But there's nothing stopping anyone from cutting and pasting from other sites onto this one. Also, I recommend Firefox for anyone still using Microsoft Internet Explorer. ;)

I use Internet Explorer and cut and paste all the time. You just can't cut & paste by right clicking on your mouse.

That would explain 1/2 of it
He could have done it himself, however, no way he did it there
And why a happy-go-lucky person would all of a sudden get so depressed as to make one question
Which then begs the answer for where and why was he moved and his empty/full/empty briefcase.
And what was so horrible coming out that there was no other answer for him
Because the story makes no sense at all which ever version of his demise happened.
(and I didn't say he was murdered, actually James said I said it...I question where it was done more as there was no blood.)
But then some people actually believe the single bullet theory too about JFK and believe the mystery of RFK, etc. All I want is investigations into everything under oath with jail time for lying and want all the different people to be questioned at the same time, so they cannot be coached and not to know the questions in advance. (Maybe using Bush's choice methods of interegation on all of them  )
