I'm not American - I come from a small island in the Med called Malta. So, should I care whether Gore becomes President of the USA? And the answer is YES I do very much, because Gore is the ONE that most non-US citizens - citizens of the World have been waiting for. A man of strong, decent values which humankind needs so desperately in today's day and age. It is so sad that the world was deprived of a world leader like Gore for so many years - cruel destiny gave us Bush instead - so bloody sad, so many wasted years in fighting climate change, fighting poverty, fighting for real peace in the world and reconciliation between all nations and religions. How sad! But hey, Al Gore is trying again (I hope), so not all is lost - the ONE might be there to lead us towards recovery in a year or so.
Americans - do the right thing - don't screw it up again - the world needs good men like Gore, especially now.
If only I could vote in the US

We can't vote for Gore if he doesn't want to run. Hence, your frustration is our frustration. :(
I too am from another country north of the 49th, Canada. I often wonder if the people in the United States realize they are also electing a world leader when they vote. When I was a child those words by President J. F. Kennedy "and to you the Citizens of the World I ask..." are with me today.
I sure hope and pray that a lot of people in the U.S. get out and vote, with the understanding, that billions of people await your choice.
In his acceptance speech, every word spoken by Al Gore, was heard around the world. Well done!
