someone has put alot of our names on this and other boards and signed us all up
(although I / we / us have no knowledge of this.)

This means mischief in our names can be done.

Please note-I thank the person who told me this, and I want to say- I am NOT
signed up under this name or my other 2 board names (or any name at the moment) on that site.

If someone is writing something under my name on that specific site, it is not me.

Beware someone could also be signing everyone up and putting words in their mouth that are not theirs/ not true to what we all believe in individually.

(and I don't believe we have any recourse as board names are not ©.

I took the time to go through every aspect of U4Prez and was unable to find any of the names on this board I am familiar with or even recognized.

I have not idea what the other boards are so could you give us a little more on where our names are said to be and the other sites?

It might not be anyone on this board under their name on this board...

I found at least 8 different names (and checked all 8 people have said they didn't sign up themselves) on a different board...

So just want people to look out for it, as a poster on this board pm'd me to tell me I had signed up, when I didn't

(don't want to say anyone's name as it was a pm that is private, and the names of posters on other boards)...

I immediately wrote on this board when I saw it, have not though seen anyone's names here on that board...

I am not sure you folks understand what that site is about. It is a social networking site. They are pretending that each user is running for President. You pretend to be a presidential candidate, choose your politicla party you want to "run" as, then select a platform of your beliefs.

Then other users can choose to vote for you or not, the votes themselves have numeric ratings as well to show strength of vote.

Nothing sinister here at all, and I am not surprised at all that some politicos here would be there as well, in fact would be more surprised if they weren't.

These names we use on this board are only this-board-specific. We own nothing and have no rights to them at all, and anyone in the world can use our "handles" elsewhere freely.
