Title: Bush Invites Gore To The White House...No Joke
kkoz91 - November 16, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
Have you heard about this yet? 'W' is hosting a party at the White House for the Nobel Peace Prize Winners and he's invited Al Gore to attend. What I wouldn't give to be there for that.
Here's the article!

This is going to be a riot...can't wait for all that frat-boy silliness.

In MY opinion...The LPOTUS should NOT step one foot in the Oval Office while BU$H is setting in the seat he 'stole' from him...
But AL GORE is a BIGGER MAN than I am so He will probably attend...Remember it was AL GORE who conceeded graciously when the Pretzel pResident took his crying baby *ss to the Supreme Court....
Also remember the FIRST LIE...BU$H claimed he would NOT engage in 'nation building' in 2000...so THROW MORE BILLIONS AT IRAQ...

Well it sure won't change my opinion of Bush just because he invites the REAL PRESIDENT to the White House, where PRESIDENT AL GORE should have been for the past seven years.
Forget it, Bush, you are still and always will be a pathetic loser and a thief. :bad:

Oh, to be a fly on the wall of the oval office that day!!! :ph43r:
Who knows - maybe Bush will behave in such a way that Gore is "re-inspired"
Bush can't help but be a dumbass, that's a given! Let's hope that what ever stupidity comes out of his mouth that day inspires Gore to run!! :coolwink:

If I was AL GORE, I would tell Bush......GO TO HELL.

George Bush ain't gonna see it and Jeb Bush, W's brother and banana republic governor, said he'd rather see "X-Men." All the more reason you should get a group of friends and family this July 4th weekend to see my former boss and friend Al Gore's documentary on global warming. Since its release a few weeks back, "An Inconvenient Truth" has received fantastic reviews and is a huge success -- already the #10 documentary of all time.
It is clear, though, that the right wing, the White House, and the oil companies are going to fight this thing to the end. Bush this week insisted yet again that there is a real scientific debate about whether global warming is caused by human interactions. Truth is, except for scientists bought and paid for by Exxon and employed in the White House, there is no scientific dispute whatsoever. And, to predictable laughter, when asked a few weeks ago whether he would be open-minded enough to see the movie, W dismissed the idea with a smarty-pants "Doubt it."
Even if you know a lot about global warming -- go see "An Inconvenient Truth" anyway as a political action. Even better, send an email to your entire network urging the same thing. Paramount Studios is showing the film in more than 500 theaters all around the country. You can find the one nearest you on this website.
Continued strength at the box office will do a few things: 1) demonstrate that there is a mandate on global warming so that Congress and the White House will get serious about something other than married gays burning American flags; 2) it will keep the movie on screens longer and expand it into other markets so that more Americans can see the urgency and facts of the issue; and (3) most importantly, you can help the movie spark a sustained political movement on global warming.
No better time to be a true patriot than to make a political statement during Independence Weekend. But no shooting bottle rockets in the theater, please.

AGMIL wouldn't it be GREAT if Dubya actually got the LPOTUS sooooo MAD that he walked right out of the White House & into the 2008 race? :?:
COME ON PRETZEL! MAKE AL MAD ENOUGH TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT!

Oh YES! LPOTUS MEANS:
LEGITIMATE
PRESIDENT
OF
THE
UNITED
STATES
AND= AL GORE! :good:
ALGOREismylife - November 16, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
We all know that Bush will no doubt spew out stupidty. If PRESIDENT AL GORE shows up for this thing, damn maybe Bush's arrogance and ignorance will inspire AL GORE to run in 2008, if AL can stand to be in the same room with that bastard for more than five minutes. It's something to think about.

Maybe they can re-enact a little history while in the White House
How about reenacting the Alexander Hamilton moment with AAAron Burr

Well I agree that Bush's smuggness MAY/might get Gore to run, but look at the bigger picture folks???
Headlines all over Drudge, the ultimate internet smear man.
Bush did not invite Gore, it is a standard invite to Nobel prize winners, he has too see him!!!!
Warming now set to perhaps increase 6 degrees in temps by 2030 and appears to be certain to increase 3 degrees by then which will wipe out 1/3 of species.
You have to be a repug A-hole to deny it any longer and we all know that One man---one lonely voice at first caused all of this to happen. It isn't going away folks and he is only 59-60?
He couldn't have done this as Presdient, ya think??? I say NO, the congress would have blocked him over and over and still will! He is bigger than a president in the world now, He is our last statesman we will ever have again!
Screw the presidency! He can look bush in the eye and grin, grin , grin big time, Huh!!!!!

That smugness will do alot of good when nothing Hillary does accomplishes the goals Al could have, had he himself run
Saying I told you so won't save the 1/3 of the species they say will soon be extinct
And maybe then the polar bears floating on the last iceberg down south around the Hudson River can thank Al for not running and thank Hillary for bowing to the mighty corporations and having changed nothing
Yeah, seems folks here would rather spit in Bush's eye than enact actual change
Saying I told you so is great for barroom arguments on whether you think
Barry Bonds is a no-good cheat (as I do), or think get off his case he rules man
BARF :wtf: :spikey:
You got it right though with your "last statesmen" line
When we no longer have a democracy, and we no longer have statesmen, you might find your line highly ironic
dontchathinkydinky?

Gee thanks George you're a pal. <_<

ReElectGore...I THINK you said it ALL! That is 7 years worth of frustration coming to the surface... :good:
Anyway why would the trailer park idiots in THIS country do anymore than vote WITH a bunch of Neocon Speculators? :?:
AL GORE has such a GOOD REPUTATION with World Leaders that HE can turn around ALL the damage BU$H did in the last 7 years without being President or even trying too hard! :good:
My advice to Democratic Hopefuls is YOU NEED AL GORE IN KARL ROVE'S JOB! Al may NOT want to be President...but IF offered the JOB of Senior Whitehouse Adviser...I DOUBT he would turn THAT down! :Y:
Karl's 'old' job is known as the POWER BEHIND THE THRONE!...don't get me wrong...I WANT AL AS PRESIDENT...(but)...if we can just get him back into the White House...I AM SURE HE CAN DO WONDERS JUST LIKE HE DID WHEN HE WAS VP! :good:

Bush to Welcome Gore to White House
Former Political Rivals Meet as Nobel Prize Winners are Honored
By LIZ MARLANTES and GREG McCOWN Nov. 25, 2007
A lot has happened to both men in the seven years since the 2000 election.
The president has faced terrorist attacks, natural disasters, and war; the former vice president left politics to campaign against global warming.
But while Bush saw his popularity plummet, Gore's star has been rising of late — with his Oscar-winning movie "An Inconvenient Truth," and the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on climate change.
So, when they meet in the Oval Office on Monday, will they finally bury the hatchet? Don't bet on it.
"This is going to be a very uncomfortable moment for both of them," says Gore's former campaign manager Donna Brazile. "I think after the president looks at Al Gore and says 'congratulations,' Al Gore will probably depart the room."
The two men were dismissive of each other from the start, in a campaign that was fought as much over personality differences as policy.
But their rivalry was sealed by the election's historic outcome — a split between the popular and electoral vote, and a bitter fight over vote counting that went all the way to the Supreme Court.
There was a brief truce after 9/11, when Gore publicly called Bush his commander in chief, and pledged his support.
But in recent years, Gore has not hesitated to criticize the president's leadership. He was an early and vocal critic of the war in Iraq, and he has called Bush the most dishonest president since Richard Nixon. In his latest book "An Assault on Reason," he accuses the president of repeatedly breaking the law.
Bush, reflecting the stature of his office, has been more restrained. But his spokesmen have taken shots over the years, calling Gore a hypocrite, and saying, "it's not an effective use of time to pay much attention to what he says."
After Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize, the official White House comment was a chilly "We're sure the vice president is thrilled."
Of course, even bitter political rivals often form friendships later in life. Look at John Adams and Thomas Jefferson — or Bush's father and Bill Clinton.
"I remember George Bush Sr. saying to me at one point, 'I can't imagine Bill Clinton and I will ever work together the way that Gerry Ford and Jimmy Carter do,'" says ABC political analyst Cokie Roberts. "And now, they are."
In the case of these two rivals, however, it might take a while. |
