We all know how Al Gore was elected president by the American people in November 2000, and yet, how the majority of citizens were tragically cheated by the Repuplican's manipulation of the Electoral College and the US Supreme Court..

It would be such sweet justice to have an another arbitrary and arcane ritual, an American (D or R) Political Convention, grant Al Gore the win! :D Given that Convention delegates can, even though they usually don't, vote for anyone they choose to. If there is no first-ballot victor, votes are gonna change. It isn't a common condition, but then, a popular-vote winner being denied the American Presidency by the College of Electors never happened in the 1900's either...
