Title: Celebration time for me
Reverend Wally - November 7, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
I have just been informed that Ames Christian University is awarding me my Bachelors Degree.
What makes this really special is that I am the first member of my family in over 100 years and maybe even much longer to attain a college education, much less a college degree.
Having any degree of intellect, however, probably puts me on the Bush administration "Hit List" ... especially since my grade average is A+ (4.0) on the curve. I are thunking that might be better than a phony "C"
Eat your heart out Bush. And I actually had to work for mine.
See, Mr Presidentialated One ... I am one of the articulatabulated ones. I am knowledgulated and are edumicated. And didn't have a "daddy" to manuveuralate it for me, and I did not once ever nostriliculate any cocaine in the process.
Stayed sober too ... !

He is quite the Rocket Surgeon, isn't he?
He also said, "I think we can agree, the past is over".
and
"I believe that the human and the fish can co-exist peacefully".
Ouch! :!:

Way to Go Wally  :good:
I like to quote Bum Phillips about an accomplishment like yours:
"You have now kicked the college door down!" Someone had to kick the door down first!
You prove it can be done at any age!
Now if some of us can just wrangle a way to get a position of some form of power, we will put these degrees to good use!

What was the one about gynecologists being able to practice the love for their patient? That one just cracks me up.
tkdveg - November 8, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
I think it was being "able to practice their love with their patients"
Here's a whopper: he commented something like "as you can see I have an injury too; I got in a fight with a cedar tree. It's a pretty bad scratch."
This was said last year while speaking to a group of amputees at a military hospital.
:wtf:
FellowDemocrat - November 9, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
That's awesome, Wally. Good for you.
