Zogby Poll

Here is a new Zogby poll just released today and Al leads!

gore for president  :good:

Gore runs, Gore wins, Gore saves America from fascism. That is obvious to me. Problem is, Gore doesn't seem to want to run, and it sucks really, really bad.

This is proof that the only advantage Hillary Clinton has right now is name recognition. She has little else to offer other than her husband's legacy.

I hear you Ian. I am starting to believe that he is fully aware he would win but that he does not want to be president. I think it is possible that if he were granted the WH on a silver platter, he would reject it. Not being able to win is no longer an obstacle. He must just not want the responsibility of the office. That's all I can deduce. I have never seen or heard of a candidate with a higher probability of victory for that office declining to run. Never. I just wish he would come clean and make an explicit decision, as he did in 2002. I am simply stunned at his intrasigence on refusing to get into the race. I just hope he does not one day realize that he passed up his best chance other than the Election Night Robbery.

I left a message BEGGING him to run today. Begging. Is he callous? How can he leave us hanging like this??

IanOC - November 1, 2007 03:25 AM (GMT)
I continue to beg, just don't believe it will happen anymore. If he changes his mind and enters the race late, I will be convinced of the existence of God (I wonder if that argument might persuade him...hey Al, enter the race, prove that God exists...).

What reason is there?

Is he being threatened?
Is he being blackmailed?

One would think the easiest thing to do if that were so was to go public.
That way nothing could happen, because he could then say those despicable vile people doing it are proving themselves, leading them open to criminal charges

Al would have the backs of millions of people and luxury of being free of whatever it is holding back

People want a new way without the old dirty politics
What better way than to say such and such is out there, and he won't let it stand in the way

(much like Kerry should have come clean a month before the swiftboaters came out, told the public, look folks, this is going to be coming at ya, and say, let's deal in the open, instead of letting it happen for 6 weeks, then responding when it was too late)...

So what is it that is making Al Gore say no?

Or, like some of the other posters are now feeling, were WE duped? I say and hope we were not. We have had enough of that the last 7 years now. I pray that is not the answer.
(no he theoretically owes none of us anything, but that would just make him one of the boys of politics, same ole' same ole', and we here all think much more highly don't we

Hey Al, sheet or get off the can

Al Gore running for president again will prove the existance of God for me also. Many of my friends and family, co-workers and most of the people I associate with will also have a stronger faith in the existance of God if he runs. Sadly however, my belief in God might also be suddenly put into question if he doesn't. :(

Talk about putting pressure on the man! WE LOVE YOU AL!

2 important points

Al Gore is a man, not a God...this idolizing stuff is wrong. He is our elected servant to do our bidding, as WE the people run America (supposedly). NOT the president
(although Bush doesn't know that).

If there is a God, and she controls the elections she gave us George Bush 41 and George W. Bush 43

Maybe we don't want God running our elections, now do we?????
Sure f--ked things up the last 27 years since Jimmy Carter left office.(who might be just as good as God, but He doesn't run around talking religion all the time.
God blessed us with Jimmy Carter, and no one else).(Most JC's didn't yap about religion, they just did good.)

Dolphins4Gore - November 1, 2007 11:48 AM (GMT)
I don't know who claimed Al Gore was God or like a God and I don't see any idolizing going on in this thread. It's usually best not to assume or jump to conclusions, and if commenting on a post, please read it carefully. I personally may have claimed to love Al Gore but there is no idolizing of Al Gore in a religious sense on my part or anyone else's that I've read here. His running for office, becoming president and changing the entire world for the better will reaffirm my belief in the existance of God and saying that shouldn't convey the belief that he is some sort of God.

I just saw that and flew over here to post it, but you beat me to it. Isn't it wonderful? But alas, I am getting VERY upset that Gore has not announced yet. If he is going to run, he needs to get in the race now. And I am very sure that, as intelligent and visionary as he is, he knows this is the time for him to run for president, win, and actually take office (he has already done the first two of those three, now it is time for the trifecta!).

If he doesn't declare his candidacy soon, I may freak out. I can't confirm or deny just yet if I will freak out, but there is a significant chance of it happening.
