I can only express admiration for Mr. Gore and relief that he is doing the job he is rather than trying to sort out the crap in Washington. It is far more important to get a handle on the waste and over expense of not living "green". I have some acres to develop and will not allow a shovel of dirt to be turned unless there are guarantees that the development will be self sustaining in its energy consumption.
Voltaic, geo thermal, solar, aero and hydro power will combine with renewable products to create a "home" that will have no utility debts when the mortgage is paid. Imagine being able to consider a plan like this under the current rule of our Little King. I am only waiting for '08 and a more earth friendly administration to take over. While our jobs are being exported and little else, it becomes more and more important to get a firm grip on our money. Less waste in our home is the place to start.
I would love to hear from any who know of resources to use for the project I am intending.
If you are tired of main stream media and their sanitized verson of the news, read the real thing in the American Free Press.
If you hope for honest "America First" leadership, vote for Ron Paul (even if he is a republican) because he is the most independent and unencumbered person running for President. Even Greenspan agreed with Paul that the whole reason for the war against Iraq was and is oil. Screw the oil, lets run on American corn, hemp, soy fiber and anything else that can be converted to fuel without the help of foreign oil.
I feel on the verge of a rant, so I'll hope for conversation instead.
I don't know what part of the country you're in Greenbuilder, but a good place to start might be with Building Outside the Box (BOB)
