Thank you again AGIML for the excellent photos!
Al Gore travels to Europe and meets with Chancellor Merkel, speaks in Vienna, has important discussion with French President Sarkozy and now he's attending a conferece in Barcelona and receiving the Asturias Award from the future King of Spain, Prince Felipe.
What did we do this week?
It's unanimous, the world needs President Gore

I hope he's not planning to stay in Europe next week, because the registration deadlines for the Georga, S. Carolina, and New Hampshire primaries are next week.

He's looking pretty damn presidential to me. I'm hoping against hope that he returns to America next week and makes an announcement.

Ian, if he announces by 11/01/07, would that allow enough time to get his name on the ballots in the key primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and others? He is neck and neck with HRC as a non-candidate, his annoucement that he is running would move him ahead, and the release of his platform would send all Dem challengers to the outskirts of the race. And, I think he could quickly broker a deal with Barack Obama to jump ship that would further propel him to a landslide victory for the nomination. The only thing we would have to fear is the contingency plans HRC and the right ring haters have for if Al enters the race. I bet they would get ruthelss and vicious. But, I really sense -- and I firmly believe this -- that this country has just about reached the tipping point on the kind of bromides and fear mongering (EG "Al Queda is hoping the Democrats win") that seemed to work in 2004 and in certain districts in 2006. And, once Al calls them out (Oh, and Rudy is ripe to be blasted by Big Al), I think it would be a cake walk. I am as certain of an Al Gore victory should he enter the race as I am that I am breathing.
So, I ask again, can Al safely get on enough ballots with an 11/01/07 anncoucement? I ask you Ian because you are the tactician of this site, the late Bill Walsh. Earth Mother is the one we lean on for the motivational speeches, like a Vince Lombardi or a Bear Bryant. :)
