Six years ago, V.P. Al Gore failed to carry Tenn. Had he done so he would have been elected President in spite of the Fla. results ! Remember Mondale ?? The only state he won was his home state of MINN !!! I blame the TENN Democratic Committee for this travesty because of their inability to educate the Tenn voters on what a sitting President can do for his home state. As an example, I refer you to the early years of NASA"S preparation for their flight to the moon. They informed Congress that they would have to have a new launch complex at the Cape. The cost would be millions. Johnson got involved and said he would approve the cost if the new facility was built in Texas. Nasa replied that they could not launch a moon rocket from the Cape from a launch center as far away as Texas, but Johnson held firm, and the launch complex was built south of Houston. Today it is known as the Johnson Space Center and over the past 40 to 50 years it has contributed countless millions $$$ to the Texas economy !! So let's get Al Gore to run in 2008 and get the TENN Democratic committee to educate the Tenn. voters on what he can do for OakRidge and the Millington Navel Base in Memphis and the other Federal facilities and maybe he will carry TENN And be our next President !!! Can you get that going? Other than Patsy, I've not been able to find a middle TN group who'll meet and push these things you mentioned. I can't even get a response from the organizer of the Nashville meetup group on AlGore.org. I think there are about 25 "members" listed, but nothing happening that I'm aware of.

The apathy here is pathetic and just plain scary.
