I will say this until I am blue in the face, he has a moral obligation to give the legions of people working on his behalf who could be spending time with their families, working on the climate crisis, assisting other candidates, etc whether their time is being spent in vain and waste. Not doing so is simply very inconsiderate. Now, if it part of a master plan in terms of timing his announcement perfectly, then I will eat my words and start writing checks and jumping for joy. But, if he continues to let us flounder and flout and twist in the wind interminably, then I will be sick and lose lots of respect for him.

I kind of feel the same way. He needs to tell us one way or another so we all can move on. I have read in posts that he is busy, but I don't think busy enough that he can't go into his current site and type a note if he is not running, or if he is the time is at hand and he needs to go to the media and say why.
I am starting to think he might not be running and might plan on not telling us that and I can't figure it out. He doesn't seem like the type to use us for his cause or any other reason, he is not a user. He cares about people and wouldn't want us to waste our time and money and thats the one thing that has me confused about him.
Its actually the only thing lately that has made me believe he was still running. But after today where it was all over the news he wasn't running and he did absolutely nothing to stop that talk, I am thinking he isn't running. If it was earlier I would think he still has time but the time is gone within the next week or so.
Sorry but I am losing hope on this...and really starting to wonder about why Al is keeping us hanging this long...

He actually owes the world to RUN
If he doesn't run, the entire world is the loser
If he is using us and doesn't run, it is not worse than not running because we is doomed then.
Either s*it or get off the can Al.
OR give a winkwinkwink that 3rd party is a consideration, and we will all stay here til June08 to wait for you
but if 3rd party is off the table, we should know about it
To not do so means you directly support Hillary winning, because if you keep our hope alive til June08, and you never were going that route, means we could not work for someone else who might defeat Hillary.
(UNLESS YOU ARE GOING FOR VP)...then its another matter...
Did you read Cindy Sheehan's thing yesterday? I have been saying what she said yesterday for 5 years now...Think about it Al.

I have a problem with blaming Al Gore for not giving a nailed down, cemented over answer on a run in 2008. After all, he did not ask either you or me to give support for a 2008 run.
I can think of several reasons for him to approach the issue as he has and the biggest one is that as long as he is not entirely, officially out of the running, the Democratic candidates have something to fear, a reason to toe the line and get on the agenda saving planet earth. Getting that from them may, unfortunately, mean waiting until the final hour.
If he finalizes it now the candidates go their merry way.
If he says absolutely "No," and then has to step in later, the right wing media has a field day.
I think the guy is in a lose-lose situation regarding a finalized annoucement at this time.
Unless- he does go third party and throws down the gauntlet because the Democratic leadership is too out of touch with its members and the welfare of the United States.*
*But- that is pure speculation. :?:
