It is my strong opinion that if Hillary or Obama ends up as President and offers Al a position-UNLESS THAT POSITION IS THE VP- it would be 100percent totally meaningless
It will just be a wave of the hand gesture.
Al Gore to have power needs to either be the President or Vice President.
Not some meaningless other position or Ambassador.
It is worthless.
Either #1 or #2...anything else is bogus offer. (Unless its SCOTUS of course).
At least as Hillary's VP, Al Gore can keep a very wary eye on her at all times.
And have the authority in the public's mind to speak.
(and it would indeed help Hillary not only win, but then keep Al from speaking against her, wouldn't it???)
I agree it would be 100% meaningless. But the only job for Gore is Number 1.
I am far from the caliber of Al Gore and could never come close to even touching his coat. If I were him I would take the number 1 or tell them to shove the entire political system. (Wait...a system does show some form of usefulness doesn't it?)

Neither will offer Gore VP. It would be an admission they weren't up to the top job. Let's stop wasting time discussing things that will never happen and put our efforts into trying to convince Gore to run for the nomination.
