Dear xxx,
I just got a call from Vice President Al Gore. He told me that he needs to travel abroad tomorrow for an exciting and urgent mission that could result in a major breakthrough in the fight against global warming.

Unfortunately, this means that we must postpone our Thursday, October 11th event with him until Friday, November 9th.  I wanted to be sure to email you tonight in case you were planning on attending.

While I am really disappointed that we won't see Al Gore until next month, I am thrilled that he is continuing to provide critical leadership to address one of the most pressing issues of our time.  You should know that only the most urgent global warming mission has called him out of the country.

I look forward to seeing you on November 9th so we can all hear first-hand about Al Gore's latest exciting initiatives.  We will be back in touch in the coming days with more details about the rescheduled event.
Thank you so much for your continued friendship and support!

Barbara Boxer

I doubt it's a trip to Norway to pick up the Nobel Prize. I doubt that the Nobel Committee tips off winners in advance of their Friday announcement, and the actual awarding of the physical prize can't possibly happen until December 10th which is Nobel Day, the day Nobel prizes are delivered.

Maybe he just wants to get the heck out of the country and away from all the repugs and their MSM machine for when the Nobel is announced?

Gotta be something big to cancel on Boxer like that.

According to Barbara Boxer, "But he wanted me to tell you that he can't wait to talk to us about his trip when he comes back to San Francisco in three weeks."

If Al Gore is planning on being overseas for three weeks, past the deadline for filing for the NH primary, it's game over.

Exciting is GOOD!
Go Al!

That's her next event, not Al's. He's in Chicago a week from tonight.

Almost certainly he is going to a big climate conference in Eastern Europe...a good place to be when the Nobel is announced!

Maybe he doesn't want to be associated with a DEMOCRATIC POLITICAL event
at this time

Maybe this is a great sign for a 3rd party Unity08 run

The article does NOT say Al will be out of the country for 3 weeks, just that he will next be in SanFran in 3 weeks.

BTW-Al should not announce he is going for President from a foreign country...

BTW2-although it would be stretching it, 3 weeks is still October...

BTW3-what the hell do I know anymore, we are being sucker punched left,right,left,right,left,right...when I stop reeling I will let you know...

Urgent Breakthrough. I'm thinking something to do with China...
