CNN weatherman considers Gore's An Inconvenient Truth fiction

( Rawstory ) CNN reported on Thursday that a British judge has called Al Gore's Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth unfit for schools "because it is politically biased and contains scientific inaccuracies and sentimental mush." British schools may now have to preface any showing of the film with a warning.


CNN meteorologist Rob Marciano responded to this story by applauding and saying,"Finally , finally," before commenting sarcastically that "the Oscars, they give out awards for fictional films as well."


Marciano said he objected in particular to the film's claim that global warming causes stronger hurricanes, noting that the current hurricane season has only been average.


Although the number of named storms this season has not been unusual, USA Today pointed out last month that "the first two hurricanes in the Atlantic this season reached the highest Category 5 level, the first time that's happened since record-keeping began in 1851." In addition, three storms this year shattered records for speed of intensification, leading concerned weather bloggers to suggest that the possible effects of global warming on hurricanes demand far more intensive study.

I wrote to CNN & told them it was totally inappropriate for a Meteorologist to make political statements & that it was unprofessional & that he should be fired!! Marciano should go get a job as a "SpinMeister" at FOX!!!!

In my opinion Lou Dobbs is the only real reporter or news commentator on CNN. All the others are mimes who do more than read cards with little truth and no research. To call Rob Marciano a meteorologist amounts to the same as calling a 2nd grader that can add 2 plus 2 a master mathematician.

Maybe someday, with any luck which is doubtful, CNN will actually become a real news channel instead of an entertainment venture under a false name.

And for years I watched Marciano on my local news and had nothing against him. Now to find out he's a two-faced hypocrite and makes jokes about global warming. How pathetic is that??? :bad:

Cafferty I love but he is not a reporter or newsman and where in the world did you get that crap about Lou Dobbs. He never degraded the nice legal people of Mexico or any other country. Illegal immigration was what he talked about and was always clear about the term illegal. Look it up... it mean against the law. You must have missed the the years of segments on the destruction of the Middle Class or the plight of the poor. Or was the many benefits of cheap illegal labor your only concern?

And as for taking away jobs from Americans, as you so defensively put it. When I returned from two years of war, a war demanded by this country, you the only job a War Vet could get was those jobs the illegals now have with the exception of Brick layers. I framed homes in 110% heat and 90% humidity in Houston. The illegals came in and instantly dropped the wages $3.00 an hour. No look for an American framer. And don't call me a racist, I fought next to all races with pride and the same dedication I would have given to any race.

But then you know because you or your husband or son spent how many years in combat and then fought for 10 years to make a living and conceal the fact that you were in a war that made a large part of the country you were told you fought for hate you.
