Rally & ConcertI noticed that the Rally and Concert planned for Al in Des Moines, Iowa
has been changed from October 21 to November 11? Does anyone know
why?

It will be too late for Michigan (10/23), Georgia (11/1), South Carolina (11/1) and Illinois (11/5).

I helped donate for it, they were having a hard time collecting the money to put it on. Maybe they couldn't come up with enough?? I will ask around since I donated to it.

Thanks. I would be curious to know. I donated for the full-page NY Times ad. I hope they will still be able to do it or will do it, given the speculation about the 30 Rock appearance.

I can't speak for the organizers there, but from what I understand, the reasoning was two fold. First, this gives them more time to raise the necessary funds to put on this this big event (you can still
donate via ActBlue here) and second, this gives them time to confirm more speakers.

This strikes me as very odd. Just a gut feeling. I would like to know more about the real reasons for the delay and other efforts that are ongoing in different states.
I'd been holding out on donations, but just began writing checks last week to various groups for the final Hail Mary. I'm putting that on hold again until more is revealed about ...everything, including 30 Rock.
Things seem shaky to me. I'd rather write a check to the Humane Society than for Draft Gore groups with no follow through.
