I Want To Help My School Become More Green, So We As A Whole Can Reduce Our Impact On The Earth. We Want To Leave Our School Being Remebered For Making Our School Better For The World. We Don't Want To Leave Here Thinking We Just Made This Place Worst For The Environment. The One Problem We Have Is Funding. Our School Is A Charter School, Which Means Every Five Years We Have Reapply For A Charter Grant, Which Allows Us To Keep Being A School. Our School Has Roughly Two Hundred Kids, We Just Don't Have The Funding To Make It Green. I Am In A Class That Is Called "An Inconvenient Truth" We Study The Effects That Our School Has On Global Warming, And The Use Of Energy. My School Leaves The Computers On All The Time Everyday And Night. My Father And I Have Built A Recycling Bin For The School To Use. We Are Trying To Get Water Saving Sinks And Toilets For The Restrooms. As Well As We Are trying To Get Energy Saving Lights For The Whole School. And We Have Also Started A Car Pool So That Not Everyone's Parents Have To Drive Back And Forth. We Really Need The Help, Our School Needs The Help. So If Anyone Can Help The Graham School Please Donate. If You Do Donate We Will Send You A Donation Slip So It Can Be A Tax Write Off.

Courtney I saw your post hanging out here unanswered and thought I would give you my two cents worth so you were not left completely in the lurch.
This particular board is held together by two emotions or beliefs mainly: those that think in a positive manner that Al Gore would be a good President, and those that are anti conservatives, Republicans or neo-cons (or a combination of those).
We really are not an organized PAC, or formal group with resources to donate, and as such a request for funds isn't especially appropriate here. I would recommend you instead contact alumni, your local historical society, local businesses and parents of students.
Good luck! a search on google on "donated to charter school" revealed many schools have the exact same issue. Therefore instead of going to a national political chat board I'd instead go local. They will appreciate your school more, especially if they see or drive by it every day.
Again, I wish you a sincere good luck on your efforts to keep your school going.
