9 until Gore understands he has a moral imperative to run for president.
ReElectAlGore2008 - October 3, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)
Al Gore has to realize (IMHO) that life as we know it in the USA WILL END if he doesn't run for President
It is a must.
(IMHO) NO cannot be the answer
God Help us if it already is too late or if the answer is no. God Help us all.(worldwide)

ReElectAlGore2008 - October 5, 2007 06:29 AM (GMT)
Days til Al Gore wins another Emmy for his funny performance on 30Rock?
(about 340?)
That empty feeling in my stomach? Priceless. :spikey: :wtf:
IanOC - October 6, 2007 01:55 PM (GMT)
6 days until Gore says to himself "Screw the stupid 30Rock cameo"
GreenMom - October 6, 2007 02:06 PM (GMT)
He must run. I was feeling discouraged yesterday and then started thinking, "How can he really not want to run and be President??" If it's ever been anyones time, NOW is HIS.
6 days!
OT: who else is in a blue state? How soon do you think I'll be able to get a lawn sign once Gore announces he's running? Do you think they have any made yet??

People on the blogs are beginning to lose hope. According to the following article, Gore's spokeswoman reiterated the statement that he has no plans to be a candidate.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071010/ap_on_...wxHOkEAdwBp24cAWhaddya think, folks? Is it time to give up? I hope not, but my hope keeps getting smaller and smaller with the passage of time. If October evaporates without a Gore announcement, I won't have any hope left, and I'll have to get my kicks following the Senate races instead, since the Presidential contest will be full of more-of-the-same.
  :(
IanOC - October 10, 2007 06:34 PM (GMT)
Gore has said he is not intending to run, but I think those who want him to do should have one more manic push over the next several weeks to try to persuade him too anyway.
TheCapedComposer - October 10, 2007 06:40 PM (GMT)
Do you really think that all of us out here can persuade him to run? I've been hearing my fellow Gore fans losing steam lately, increasing in certainty that he won't jump in.
If anyone here has any bit of good news, let me know-- it's looking bleak!
Jonathan Pollard - October 10, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
The news from the polls is bleak, according to the latest AP-Ipsos and Gallup polls, Gore would lose even if he had double the support that the polls show. I'm sure Gore is aware of these numbers.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow, you're only a day away!!!
jharri1992 - October 11, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
As much as I want him to run and am certain, beyond certain if there is such a thing, that he would win, I am getting a bit testy and frustrated with the fact that he is allowing so many people to twist in the wind like this. Either get into the race or allow all of these people to devote their time, money and energy to something and someone who shares their mission. I cannot understand what he is thinking, why the stealth and silence. For goodness sake, he cannot claim ignorance anyomore (IE NYT ad today). I left a message on his comment line saying that the time has come to give his followers and fans some closure or at least a date by which he will make an unequivocal decision. My belief in him is quickly morphing into resentment.

Thanks, all I could find was an article that said 7PM Eastern Australian time.
5AM Eastern time, so that's 2AM for me. I guess the strange time is due to the location of announcement which is in Norway.
