WOW!!! I was just on the Randi Rhodes Show!!! How cool was that!! :P

What amazing support Randi is drumming up for Gore! This movement is going into high gear - I can feel it. The passionate desire for this to happen is contagious and spreading fast!! Hang on - here we go! :spikey:

Goracle_Fan - September 27, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
I agree, that was amazing!! Her love of Al is palpable and what an incredible surge of signatures she inspired on draftgore after just one show! I'm hoping these people find ballot initiatives in their state or begin working on one.

This growing ... uh ... what can can we call this thing that is happening with Al? This movement, this passionate collective energy sweeping across the planet feels like it has a life of it's own, like we are riding the wave of something with huge & insurmountable power beneath us unlike anything history can recall... what is it & what do we call it? Well whatever is it, there is no doubt that it has now begun and you're right, we'd better hang on tight because the world is in for something I believe it has never seen before.

I'm sure as hell ready, how 'bout you???

TNblue - September 28, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
Dang, I didn't get to listen to Randi today, but I'll say to her, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Keep up the momentum Girl!!! :good:

Over 119,565 people now have signed the draft gore petition. Thats over 6000 who have signed it so far today! Unbelievable!! There is now no doubt that Al is being drafted to run.

Wayne in WA State - September 28, 2007 06:50 AM (GMT)
I didn't get to hear it but.. You Go Randi

I've made some posts at the Randi Rhodes message board and I've found their members to be very Gore friendly. We may be preaching a bit to the choir but these are the activists who volunteer and vote in the Democratic Primary. Add your two cents to the "A Shameless Promotion" thread.

Thanks to you it's a gonna happen :D :spikey: :D

marla - September 28, 2007 03:03 PM (GMT)
I heard about Randi asking Gore to run and she had tears in her eyes and he kissed her cheek. They were talking about it on Democratic underground yesterday. Don't you wonder what he said back to her?

The fact that she had a show to drum up support after that tells me he didn't tell her sorry I am not running...what did she say on the show? did she talk about it?

tkdveg - September 28, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
Yes, she did talk about that yesterday.

She said it was during the Live Earth event: she emotionally told him how much he was wanted and needed as the President (I'm paraphrasing that part), and he put his hand on her shoulder, "caressed" her hair, and said softly, "I know".

(Heavy sigh.)
That's basically how she put it anyway.

It really was a very moving show - everyone was adamant that Gore is the one that can help get us out of this hole, that his experience is unsurpassed and desperately needed. She even said that when they started the show that day that they had no idea that it would go in that particular direction, but people just kept calling to say how badly we need him, so they talked about Gore running for the whole show!
I liked the man who said he would re-enlist in the military if and only if Gore was his Commander in Chief. That's saying a lot!

He has to know - he's being asked constantly. His support WHEN he announces will be overwhelming! The rest of the candidates can just go home after that - race over! Check Mate!

Goracle_Fan - September 28, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
Those of you who missed it, go to iTunes and download the whole show! Don't miss hearing this amazing woman so passionately support Al!!!
Randi actually asked him this at Melissa Etheridge's concert at Hard Rock Cafe the other night, so it was very recent.

tkdveg - September 28, 2007 07:45 PM (GMT)
FYI - she's doing it again!!! She's talking about Gore right now!
She just said if you don't like what you see, Draft Gore!! Now callers are talking about him too. Yeah!!!

Thanks GF! I questioned myself on when he had said that to her. She had mentioned Live Earth too.

earnAlGore - September 29, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)

That's great! Sigs over 123,000!

Thanks Randi!

TNblue - September 29, 2007 04:17 AM (GMT)

Randi Rhodes has achieved her target.

She asked to lift the signatures to 125,000 and as of 30 Sep 2007, the number is 125,366.

Amazing! Simply out of this world.

Randi Rhodes is the Goddess of Radio.

Way to go Randi!!

tkdveg - October 4, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
As this seems to have become the DraftGore/Randi Rhodes thread, I'll keep it going with another update... just because it's fun to watch the number go up
(in direct contrast to the # of days before he says YES, which is clearly going down.)

As of this moment:

131,025!!

Keep 'em coming!!!

TNblue - October 5, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)

I hope this means that the thing is finally snowballing. I signed when there were less than 3,000 signatures and have watched the drip, drip, drip since then to get it to 100,000.

tkdveg - October 8, 2007 07:43 PM (GMT)
136,000!!!!

No, make that 136,016...
I mean 136,020...

Oh never mind - just know it's going up constantly!!! I can't keep up!

136,025... :dripple:

136,130 :!:

Goracle_Fan - October 8, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
Check out the Newsweek Article that talks about California's ballot drive starting today, the possible Nobel, and mentions Randi's show! I'll bet the number will be going up :good:

Dolphins4Gore - October 11, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
At just after midnight, there were 152, 075 signatures of Al Gore supporters at DraftGore.com! Unfortunately his sister and parents aren't still with us on this earth to witness the much deserved respect and adoration their son now receives. They would be SO PROUD OF HIM!!!

I am sure they watch over him and know it. I hope his spirit of warrior wakes up.

True enough, but I think they both want or would want their son and brother to not allow all of the hopes and dreams of the legions of his supporters and fans not to be wasted in vain. It's time for him to give us a signal. We cannot be allowed to twist in this abyss of uncertainty any longer. It's bordering on inconsiderate. For the people who are literally pouring their hearts and souls into this movement, drafting him in states, sending letters, making calls, writing checks, it is not fair. If you plan to run, then get into the race, lap this field and save the world. But if you do not, then give your fans the courtesy of spending their time and energy on a candidate who matches their committment in the 08 race. He's a good man, but I do n ot think he's handled this situation with much care or concern for others. He still has my undying support.
