Title: Will Gore Run
Description: What if he doesn't?

al001 - September 19, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Gore may run and he may not. I hope he does. Even though he could not correct all the problems Bush and Company have created it would be a big start. Still I would like a definite yes or no. Let us know in your own words. But that’s not why I writing this now.

I am writing should there be a “No I won’t run.” If this should be his answer we as a nation of habit would be most inclined to select our next President from one of the current members of the Senate or House now running.

This means the next leader of the free world would come from a small group of wealthy, highly egotistical people with a job disapproval rating of 65% or more. Their approval rating on 8-14-07 according to CBS was only 27%.

When I was in Junior High you had to get 70% of the answers right to get a C-, the minimum passing grade. 27% was an F and would have been a G or H if the grading system went that low. Point being if their failing to do their job now…why should anyone in their right minds think they would if promoted?

I have no confidence in the current crop of Dem candidates except Kucinich, and he's going to be marginalized, as usual. We're left with Hillary, Obama and Edwards. None of them inspire me with confidence whatsoever. Seriously, if Al does not run, I am not going to give one penny to any candidate. The Senate Dems are a total embarrassment to this country and the Democratic Party. I have no party any longer. I can't be Republican. I'm ashamed to be a Democrat. About the only way I'm going to get involved if is Al decides to run. If he doesn't, I'll probably drop-out, big-time.

Ah...and on that note, the island of Bequia is looking very much like my future address.

I may just become an ex-pat :alien:

Hold your nose and vote Democrat or else you will regret it when the repugs win.

How right you are.

By the way...is there a chance there really is a StarGate in Cheyenne Mountain? If there is do you think they would consider selling one way tickets?

If the Repugs win again the only safe place maybe several million light years away.

I agree, but I can't see the republicans winning unless they rig and steal it for the third time.

I have thought of leaving the country too if Al doesn't run, we even looked at property last time in Canada (july 07) but the reality is we can't afford to with the costs of traveling to come back and visit kids and grand kids. We still have to work at least part time to make the bills and out of country what would we do? I am too spoiled to live in a place that is cheap...so maybe I am just as stuck and comfortable as the rest of america, used to our easy lifestyle.

Plus I heard in Canada its hard to get permission to stay there, although you can pay certain people money to get moved up on the list. We talked to someone who moved there from here and then moved his dad up.

But I am sick of watching this country go down the drain and watching us try to fight and get no where even when we elect people. They all promise and promise then get in office and do nothing. then its hard to get them out because its easier to be re-elected. That is what I am thinking now of all the blue-dog dems they snuck in. I read a story about one of the elections in Illinois, the dem who had run the time before actually had a chance of winning in 2006 and believed like we do that the war must end now, but instead they pushed her out and put money into the iraq war veteran who was like all the dems who want to drag it out, she lost because she hadn't spent the time with the people the other woman did and also lived outside of the district. But I read that the conservative dems put a lot of money into it and forced the good one out.

When i read that I wanted to puke. The conservative dems are ruining our chances for change on our side. I am not even sure what Al could do with them but I believe he is the best chance because he is great working with people. He knows how to make things happen, not just talk about it. When they told him he couldn't pick up the patients in New Orleans he had worked to get flights there he went anyway and made it work getting two planefuls out. And I read that Obama called him and asked him how he did it, because he tried and accepted the no the military said. Al didn't accept the military's answer...because he knew that they weren't doing their job right and someone had to push to get it done. :spikey:

Welcome Maria:

You think Canada is hard, try getting permission to stay in Mexico.
