http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/20...daughter-0.htmlI will support whomever Al Gore will endorse for the nomination, but I think he should do it soon so it will make a difference. He endorsed Howard Dean in mid-December 2003, if he had done it sooner I think Dean would have done much better.
This is very old news, from July. In August he said, "I may re-enter politics again." Until Gore says, "absolutely, 100 percent, no way," we have reason to be hopeful.

Jonathan, I heard this same thing come out of Kristin's mouth on Air America radio earlier this summer. We've talked about her remarks on this forum and are still not convinced that Gore will not run. In fact, Kristin has been on talk shows since the date of that article where she had softened her language a bit, or at least chosen different wording that was less convincing.
Gore just won an Emmy a few minutes ago. The audience gave him a standing ovation. He's got quite a trophy case going. I think he's on a roll and the presidency is his for the taking. I'm not hoping for him to endorse anyone. There's no one running yet who's fit to be president. Maybe VP.
I was overseas in 2003-2004 and did not follow the Democratic nomination process too closely then. Were people hoping Al Gore would run right until the point when he endorsed Howard Dean on Dec. 16 2003? Did Al Gore's statements in 2003 on whether or not he would run differ significantly from the kind of statements he's making this year?
Yes there were Gore supporters who wanted him to run in 2004. Al Gore told his supporters on December 14th, 2002 that he would not run in 2004. We are now over 9 months past that point in this election cycle. This time is very different.
