Was Al Gore right about the 600-day campaign?
While never ruling out a run by suggesting that he had "no plans" to do so, he would almost always add that the campaign had started too early and that there no compelling reasons to engage in a long campaign. In this instance, too, it seems that he had his finger on the pulse of the American people. As it turns out, Gore was correct.

Al Gore still in the background
Various camps can gnash and throw darts all they want, but the plain fact remains the draft Gore movement exists because of a serious leadership vacuum created by our current 2008 candidates. They're very good people and politicians, but their bravery scores at this point are very, very low. That's what everyone is waiting for, a brave fight everyone knows is totally necessary to get our country back, it just won't be handed to us.

Waiting for Al Gore
It's getting to be that time, the time for Al Gore to make that fateful decision that will impact all our lives and the planet itself. His big goal was to have all the presidential candidates provoke an intense national debate about the urgency of the climate crisis. It's not happening. They seldom mention it. There is only one potential candidate who can ensure that the climate crisis stays in the forefront of the public consciousness. He must realize that.

President Gore, you have a date with destiny
But Global Warming is not the only madness that needs addressing, you have proven that you also CLEARLY see and understand the crisis our Constitution and our government (as evidenced here, in perhaps the best speech in our young century) is in and the consequences of that crisis as well. You are the only potential candidate that has directly addressed this issue. I'm sure that you have only grown more horrified as time has passed since that speech, as we have all witnessed the ongoing crimes and abuses of our Constitution and our Freedoms.

Thanks again for these very informative articles. You do us a great service.

I decided to take the article "Was Al Gore right about the 600-day campaign?" and post it over at the message board of the Randi Rhodes show. We'll see what happens :D
