Dear Friends,
The Clean My Ride campaign has exploded over the past week. The videos have been viewed almost 200,000 times, Matt Damon showed a clip on the Tonight Show, and thousands of you sent a message to Congress.
Thanks in part to your efforts, last Friday Congress took some critical first steps, but there is much more to be done. Congress has not yet committed to fully embracing higher fuel efficiency standards and access to flex fuels. We have to make a lot of noise now, because global warming can't be reversed without serious action.
With Congress in recess the best way to reach them is through their local media. Today I need you to write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper about the importance of higher fuel efficiency standards and flex fuels.
Write a letter today
Letters to the editor are incredibly powerful ways of influencing both members of Congress and local editorial boards. We've supplied a few talking points on the website, and links to more resources, but the best letters are the ones that are in your own words.
Write a letter to the editor today
Tell them about your concerns. Tell them how we need to act now to make a difference. Help us find the right message to convince Congress to get to work.
Thanks for your help,
~PHIN XOXO
