An entry from a 23rd century diary found while taking a test run in my time machine last night.
Moon Cycle 3 - Year date 2214 - Day 14
"Hello Diary,
It has been a tiring day. I am ready to go to my launch assignment tomorrow to accompany the scientific explore team to visit planet Earth.
Readiness school has prepared me for what ever we may encounter by filling us all in on a series of events that apparently happened just before the global disaster started to accelerate.
Jennine is to be my capsule mate. She is very educated in the early 21st century politics that caused the planet to self destruct with the help of the people of that time and their willingness to use logic and sensible reasoning in choosing their path of development.
Moon Cycle 3 - Year date 2214 - Day 15
Today we ran systems test on the equipment and had a brief class in what brought on the climate crisis that destroyed old planet Earth.
We viewed some DRSSD videos which had some of the scenes that were happening during the 21st century. Scary stuff. I am sure glad we are not facing that type of disaster in this century. But then our great great great grandparents were very lucky to escape before the total melting of all ice, and the splitting of an island off the coast of the continent known as Africa caused a large tidal wave to totally wipe out many many miles of the coastal lands around the Atlantic and for some times as much as 30 -40 miles inland. And this happened soon after the meling of most of the ice on the planet. It shows one gigantic storm that took place back then. The cyclic clouds cover almost 2/3 of the planet's surface.

Moon Cycle 3 - Year date 2214 - Day 16
We have been translated to the Year date 2067.
Upon arrival we set up our telescopic transcoder and aimed it to space and set it for broad monitoring. The detector signal went off immediately and we saw that a large meteor or asteroid is heading for a spot we figure to be 325 km from where we are.
Oh my ... it seems to be coming on faster tha
