Bloomberg announces party registration to "unaffiliated"

This would totally change the calculus for the 2008 election, if this is the first indication of an eventual entre into the race.

Any thoughts?

On Hardball tonight, they were saying this would throw the race to the Dems., and Matthews said that meant Hillary would be president. :rolleyes:

Hill is ahead right now. I have ever growing problems with the thought of her being POTUS. I would much rather her not be the first woman President. I just don't think the nation should have to deal with another extended season of the Clinton chronicles.

I was explaining to my girlfriend earlier this evening the same view as the folks on Tweety's show had. I agree that Bloomberg or anyone else as a third does not necessarily hurt the Dems.

I'm sad because with each passing day my dream ticket of Gore/Mitchell fades.

I weep inside for our country.
