Title: What happened to papabear?
Description: ?????????????????????
Reverend Wally - June 5, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Has anyone heard anything from papabear lately?
Wayne in WA State - June 5, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
I was wondering about papa too...
I haven't heard from him in some time. I am a bit concerned. :?:
earthmother - June 5, 2007 01:33 PM (GMT)
This is typical behavior for Papabear, to grace us with his presence for a little while and then to disappear again, only to resurface somewhere else some months down the line. I know he was having some financial and legal issues. I'm sure one of us will hear from him before too long.

Who is papabear? If it is al001, I was wondering what happened to him too as he is usually pretty active on the board. He was kind to welcome me to the board. Hope all is well.
earthmother - June 5, 2007 04:48 PM (GMT)
Nope. Papabear, aka The Paraclete, isn't Al001. Al001 is someone else, a fellow Texan, in case you didn't know, and you're right, he has been quiet lately. I'm usually in personal contact with him on a fairly regular basis. Probably just on vacation or something.
ALGOREismylife - June 5, 2007 05:05 PM (GMT)
No names, but I was wondering what has happened to certain members who haven't been here for awhile. :?:
earthmother - June 5, 2007 06:11 PM (GMT)
Without names, I don't know who you mean. Wanna ask me in private?
al001 - June 5, 2007 09:55 PM (GMT)
Texan for Gore, thanks for asking but I'm not Papabear. I haven't been very active lately because of a few health issues I have to get cleared up. I have read a lot of the postings but most were from another computer and my password was home so I couldn't log in but I haven't forgotten you guys.
Again, thanks for the concern.
Texan for Gore - June 5, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I knew he was from Texas, thanks.
You're welcome, Al001. Hope everything is okay, healthwise. I had noticed you hadn't been posting any articles lately. Yeah, we're all still here waiting for Gore to run. :D
al001 - June 5, 2007 10:27 PM (GMT)
Everything will be okay. We just don't seem to bounce back as fast at 58 as we did at 25. Must be the way were designed. :D

I know that feeling, al001. Hope you're feeling better and everything is okay. You're missed when gone for a few days. :)

Well, that's good to hear. Hey, I know the feeling. At 41, riding those coaster rides with the kids don't seem as fun as they used to be.
Yes, your posts have been missed. Glad to see you back.
earthmother - June 6, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
Al, I'm sorry to hear you've been unwell. Hope you're feeling better soon!
al001 - June 6, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
Thanks again to all of you but worry too much about me, I'm fine now. A stubborn ole horse like me just keeps moving along so I'll be around with you for a long time... unless this blasted Texas summer keeps getting hotter and drier every year.
ap215 - June 6, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
Yeah i miss him as well i like the passion and fire he gives out from his posts. I hope he'll show up soon.
al001 - June 6, 2007 05:30 PM (GMT)
ap215, Thank you and I am still here, never really left I just didn't have my password in hand when I would visit for a while. Love you guy's too much to go away completely. I'm kinda like the dinner guest that shows up with all his belonging. You know he's there for quite a while. But again thank you, thank you, thank you.

Here is an emai that papabear sent me and I opened and read this morning...:
Rev. Wally:
I have moved back to Tulsa Oklahoma. I have a better chance of getting a good job here. You were right Rev....Florida as a state has been systematically ruined over time. I want to get Viewer Created Content on Current TV by the end of the year, and get my computer back on-line. My cousin is helping me greatly. She provides food, shelter, and encouragement. I was sinking working for Disney. Now I have a hot bath and a warm bed. I already have job leads as well. I will try to contact you as soon as I get myself back on-line at home!
Best Wishes
PapaBear
I am glad he is OK and I expect he will be here as soon as he gets things in order again.
:)

Another email from papabear
Rev Wally:
I am still looking for work in Tulsa Oklahoma. Hopefully you are well in Florida. I just couldn't find viable work in Florida, and hopefully I can become successfully employed back out west. Rev Wally, the immigration problem in Florida has hit 'overload'...1000 people enter Florida every day, and employment in the Sunshine State has become impossible...too many people and not enough 'good' jobs...Rev Wally I am going to make a stand here in Oklahoma...at least it has a Democratic Governor, and many Democrats in the statehouse...it has two Republican Senators because of re-districting...and Inhofe is an 'oil boy'...most of Oklahoma is an 'oil' state...and Tulsa is loaded with refineries...Rev Wally every time I came to Florida and worked for Disney, it resulted in failure...if you move back to Tennessee let me know...Good Health!
Papabear

Rev Wally,
Just tell everybody to keep their chins up. As soon as I can establish a land line at home, I will be able to visit websites. Rev Wally, I escaped from Florida...I will find work again soon...and soon I will be set up at home to post and E-mail...Keep up them 'good spirits', and hopefully you will end up where you want to be! Later!
Papabear

Thanks Rev Wally for letting us know that Papabear is well and that we will be hearing from him in the near future. Tell Papa that Wayne says Hi and that we await his return. :good:
