ap215 - June 3, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
I know we're not in '08 presidential mode yet but which candidates on the dems side do you guys like.

WHAT?????????? :?:
I wouldn't vote republican if my life depended on it.
To answer ap215's question, I like Obama of the candidates already running, but it's obvious I want AL GORE.

It was a joke reply to a clueless question. There are two boards here specifically for 2008 election talk with a combined 8K posts and this person says:
"I know we're not in '08 presidential mode yet" and then has the further lack of understanding to ask "which candidates on the dems side do you guys like."
Another joke answer:
Is the next presidential election in '08? I can't say I've heard of any candidates or worthy people yet.

It's not a joke for everyone...we have members in our group who (1) are Republican and (2) say they will vote for McCain if Gore does not run. We need to leave room room for ALL diversity of Goristas.

Hillary looked good in the debate last night. Looked and sounded good. Obama would be acceptable. Edwards would be fine. Even Biden would be light-years better than Bush, or practically any Republican. I still like Kucinich. While he has good ideas and my brain is probably closest to his, he's just a little loopy. Even Dodd or Richardson would be ok. While I like having Gravel in the debates, I do with he'd tone down the attacks on fellow Dems a bit. He's about the only Dem candidate that I don't really like that much.
So, in short, practically any Dem over any Rep. They're all warmongers and greedheads. People say there's not a dimes bit of difference between the two parties, and I can understand the sentiment, but I disagree when it comes down to it.
At this point, if I had to choose only one Dem, I think it would be Hillary. Unless, of course, Al gets in, and I think he will.

Thanks for mentioning that leelander and without getting into personal attacks for those people who are ignorant and don't like to answer "clueless" questions, then don't bother answering them and go somewhere else.
And to AGIML thanks for answering my question cause you're a true gore fan. :Y:

Well I guess you told me! I guess I deserve it! :dripple:
Sorry if I was being harsh, I really didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Just trying to be funny. <_<
I guess if you had asked "Besides the possibility of Gore, who among announced candidates on the dems side do you guys like..." I would have understood bettter. I still don't get the "I know we're not in '08 presidential mode yet" part though, but maybe that's just me.
I like my Senator, Barack Obama.

It's probably because we're still in '07 with no elections this yr and the media focusing and putting up the hype on the candidates and the '08 race itself instead of talking about the real news.
And that question you posted AGF that's probably the right question and i should've asked that.
Also i accept your apology and if i came down harsh on you i'm sorry as well.

I like Richardson and Biden the most out of the announced candidates. But, once Gore enters, his name will jump to the top.
Allhailtuna - September 28, 2007 03:50 PM (GMT)
Obama. Gore if he runs should be self-explanatory.
debbo - October 16, 2007 04:44 PM (GMT)
the best candidates are gore and biden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
debbo

What else can we do to encourage Gore to run? I know that he hears us, and I'm not beyond begging.
