It's taking a lot of getting used to, but I'm learning as I go along. It's always hard when you move! New friends, unfamiliar terrain, you can't find anything and you don't know where to look . . . moving is hell! But then, before you know it, it starts to feel like home again. Just give it some time, that's all.
One thing, though. I think I liked the old smilies better! These guys are just a little too cute for my taste. But hey, I'll get used to them, too.
Keep up the good work, Chris. I'm sure it's been a lot of work setting this up. :good:

Its great, Chris.
I've noticed something about the censors.
If you try to spell ClA*ified, pA*ing lA*ie, mA*ive, sA*y, etc...It doesn't come out right.

Chris--In the "Last Post Info" column on the front page, it'd be helpful to have boldfacing on either and/or both the name of the poster and the topic. I find I have a hard time picking out information on that page because it's all in the same type with nothing standing out. It would be easier to scan for info you're looking for if it's emphasized in some way. Can we do something like that? The old GSC page used to have that, and I'd find it very helpful.
Also, could we go back to the format where, instead of showing the date of the last post, it says "Today" or "Yesterday"? Half the time I have no idea what the date is, and again, it's a lot easier to pick out recent posts to respond to (or scan as a moderator) when they're emphasized in boldface and with the words "Today" and "Yesterday."
Just my opinion, of course.

Well, I just noticed the "New Posts"/"No New Posts" icons on the left of the front page, which I suppose addresses the issues I raised above. The problem is, at least on my computer, there's not a whole lot of difference between the two. Can they be different colors or something?

Sorry, but the new posts and old posts buttons are all we have that goes with our layout/style. On my computer, it is easy to tell them apart. The dark BG one has new posts and the light colored means no new posts. Also, I will check out about the TODAY info in the latest posts info. :D

Earthmother, I know something that may help you. If you want to see the latest threads, please click the portal link at the top of the forum in the left corner. It has that and other things.
