http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/specialguests/...olitics_of_fearGore, Obama, and a coalition against the politics of fear"Could his (Gore's) seasoned strength and Obama's deep idealism hasten a realignment that unites grounded liberals and honorable conservatives (there are many), all disgusted enough with GWOT/national-security demagoguery to want to fight for a reasonable, republican politics against those on the right (but soon perhaps again on the left) who feel driven to subvert it?"
http://www.boston.com/ae/books/articles/20...arket_of_ideas/Gore's "Assault" makes his case for an open market of ideas"Gore is no Paine, but he argues persuasively that Bush's tenure is no longer a constitutional presidency. The book is part polemic, part impeachment in hard covers. Let the TV blowhards who will claim it's ponderous prove they can do better by turning Gore's harsh charges into hard questions for the would-be presidents who are assaulting us -- and reason -- with televised body language and cheap slogans."
http://www.thebluestate.com/2007/05/editorial_democ.htmlDemocratic nomination could be decided todayThough, one thing is definitely for sure: Obama and Clinton will have destroyed their presidential hopes if they vote for this (war funding) bill.

http://dickpolman.blogspot.com/2007/05/lif...-goreworld.htmlLife is good in Goreworld"Message to Goreheads, and to all the other nostalgic Democrats who somehow forget that he was widely reviled in 2000 for failing to parlay years of peace and prosperity into victory: He ain't running next year. Get over it."
http://www.savetheinternet.com/blog/2007/0...tter-democracy/Al Gore: Net neutrality key to better democracyGore concludes in the final pages of his book (Assault on Reason) that the key to redeeming our democracy is to ensure that we all are "well and fully connected" to an open, neutral and robust public Internet forum.
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_sc...ought_3a_wh.htmFood for thought: What if Al Gore had won?"Too many misguided, ignorant, and uninformed Americans give George W. Bush high marks for leadership in the days following 9/11. Perhaps they feel that it would have happened either way, and W 'led' us through it. Instead, why not question if it would have happened in the first place?"
http://ucsdguardian.org/viewarticle.php?st...month=05&day=24To preserve green globe, Gore warns of crisisThroughout his lecture, bystanders were chanting Gore's name and passing around petitions in support of a speculative presidential run in 2008. But the politician seemed unfazed by banners alluding to a potential candidacy, never breaking his focus on the worldwide threat of global warming.

Let's not really discuss the core issues that we should be discussing, because hey, that's hard work, and like the climate crisis that would mean that certain people would then actually have to take moral responsibility for what has transpired in this country due to their recklessness, complacency, and indifference. And besides, it's more fun to stand in front of a book store waving a banner that says, "Run Al run" than it is to talk about the actual topic of a book that seems to escape many.
http://www.slate.com/id/2166884/Blame Britney firstI don't know who has the loonier argument: Gore, who believes that some forms of entertainment are deleterious to the nation's well-being, or Friedman, who seems oblivious to the miracle of human multitasking. As a student of history, he should appreciate that wicked fights over a Single Major Issue often accelerate the pace of other debates.
http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/200705..._gore_wont_run/Why Gore won't runWhatever flaws he has, Gore suffered through an extreme injustice with great dignity. His revenge is to have been right about a lot of things, including the power of the Internet, global warming and Iraq.
