Al Gore Gets Ready To Present Some "Earth Shaking" Evidence About Global Warming In Toronto

It's like the Oscars of the Environment.

Some of the biggest stars of the anti-global warming movement are gathering in Toronto this weekend to warn you about climate change and why it's not too late to do something about it.

Check out this line-up at the Green Living Show: Al Gore, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., David Suzuki, Jamie Kennedy, Canadian astronaut Dr. Roberta Bondar and even Hollywood's favourite former mermaid Daryl Hannah will all be here over the next few days, reminding you it can be easy being green.

Gore, whose Oscar-winning movie "An Inconvenient Truth" has made him something of an environmental icon across the planet, is scheduled to deliver his momentous message Saturday morning. But if you don't have tickets, it's already too late - the show is sold out.

Among those trying to ensure his vision comes true: Premier Dalton McGuinty, who introduced another kind of green Friday: a four-year, $24 million investment to make it easier for you to protect the environment.

It will provide you with up to $150 towards the cost of a home energy audit, so you can improve cooling, heating and help conserve water and electricity in your home.

Some of the money will also go to a place that won't be immediately apparent. It will be used to develop new technologies that are past the testing stage but can't quite find the funding to push them over the edge.

"We want people to know what is possible, that we can all in fact do something," McGuinty relates. "You can save money, you can improve energy efficiency and you can save the environment at the same time."

If action is more your style than talk, the show also features 350 exhibitors, displaying the latest hybrids and electric cars, Segways, bicycles, earth friendly motorcycles, a "living wall" made up entirely of plants, organic edibles, a housing 'suite' that shows you the latest technology for living green, solar panels and even canoes.

Just to name a few.

Al Gore says Tories green plan a "fraud designed to mislead Canadians"

TORONTO (CP) - Former U.S. vice-president Al Gore says the Conservatives' new environmental platform is a "complete and total fraud designed to mislead the Canadian public."

He was presenting his documentary An Inconvenient Truth in Toronto at a consumer environmental show, with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and environmentalist David Suzuki in attendance.

Gore praised Suzuki for confronting Environment Minister John Baird Friday, saying he saw the two exchange words on TV.

When Baird told Suzuki the Conservatives were going further than any other government in Canadian history, Suzuki said it wasn't enough.

Gore says the rest of the world looks to Canada for moral leadership, and that's why this week's announcement was so "shocking."

The Conservative government strategy focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving air quality. But the plan failed to spell out precisely what many of its regulations will look like.

The main point to get from all this is that carbon dioxide does not cause warming, but that warming causes an increase in carbon dioxide.

Did you get that?

It is the absolute reverse of what the globalists are propagandizing on us. And what causes the warming? Why the sun does! An inconvenient truth indeed. Who would have thunk it?

So the scam is stripped naked and Al Gore can inconveniently can go back to inventing the internet or whatever. Tell everyone you know to see this documentary so that the spell can be broken, so that we won’t have to worry about prosecution for “Global Warming-Denial” hate speech, so that a global collectivist carbon tax wealth-confiscation can averted and we can all go about our lives enjoying our SUVs again, thank you.

The Great Global Warming Swindle

Research said to prove that greenhouse gases cause climate change has been condemned as a sham by scientists.

A United Nations report earlier this year said humans are very likely to be to blame for global warming and there is “virtually no doubt” it is linked to man’s use of fossil fuels.

But other climate experts say there is little scientific evidence to support the theory.

In fact global warming could be caused by increased solar activity such as a massive eruption.

Their argument will be outlined on Channel 4 this Thursday in a programme called The Great Global Warming Swindle raising major questions about some of the evidence used for global warming.

Ice core samples from Antarctica have been used as proof of how warming over the centuries has been accompanied by raised CO2 levels.

But Professor Ian Clark, an expert in palaeoclimatology from the University of Ottawa, claims that warmer periods of the Earth’s history came around 800 years before rises in carbon dioxide levels.

The programme also highlights how, after the Second World War, there was a huge surge in carbon dioxide emissions, yet global temperatures fell for four decades after 1940.

The UN report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was published in February. At the time it was promoted as being backed by more than 2,000 of the world’s leading scientists.

But Professor Paul Reiter, of the Pasteur Institute in Paris, said it was a “sham” given that this list included the names of scientists who disagreed with its findings.

Professor Reiter, an expert in malaria, said his name was removed from an assessment only when he threatened legal action against the panel.

“That is how they make it seem that all the top scientists are agreed,” he said. “It’s not true.”

Gary Calder, a former editor of New Scientist, claims clouds and solar activity are the real reason behind climate change.

“The government’s chief scientific adviser Sir David King is supposed to be the representative of all that is good in British science, so it is disturbing he and the government are ignoring a raft of evidence against the greenhouse effect being the main driver against climate change,” he said.

Philip Stott, emeritus professor of biogeography at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, said climate change is too complicated to be caused by just one factor, whether CO2 or clouds.

He said: “The system is too complex to say exactly what the effect of cutting back on CO2 production would be or indeed of continuing to produce CO2.

“It is ridiculous to see politicians arguing over whether they will allow the global temperature to rise by 2c or 3c.”

The documentary is likely to spark fierce criticism from the scientific establishment.

I found some of the arguments in the programme pretty compelling. Especially the fact that mans production of CO2 is only a tiny fraction of that produced naturally by the planet. I’ve never been convinced that climate change is a man made thing. Far from it, and now I am increasingly convinced it is a natural phenomenon.

Your link is full of lies and spin. I love the part about other chemicals released between 1940-1980 that crippled the effects of the increase in greenhouse gases but are rendered ineffective now. PLEASE !! We have had major ice ages on the planet and warming cycles (something melted all that ice !) long before man began the industrial age. Man produces a minute total of this minute gas in our atmosphere. The sun is what causes these cycles and changes. All the evidence shows is that co2 increases AFTER the Earth warms. It doesn’t take much research to see that Global Warming is a scam with political motivations.

You know that the great global warming swindle has been based on severely faulty old data. Moreover the producer is being legally challenged in court because he misused a scientist's statement in the documentary. This documentary according to most if not all scientists including The Royal British Academy uses a mixture of sort of truths, half truths and flat out falsehoods to makes its argument. Are you even aware that now there 38 prominnent scientists including ones in the film who legally signed a document asking for the producer to change the DVD before it gets distributed. He is factually incorrect and is manipulating data to bolster his argument. Yet he is not a scientist!!! But the producer won't! You know why?!

Because if he does, HE HAS NO ARGUMENT!!!

But it is all ok because it is a big conspiracy against him!

Oh ok, I see you were trying to show it was manipulative. I thought you were supporting it. Nevermind.

I went to Canada on Friday April 27th just like Al (well maybe not just like Al, I went to British Columbia). :D

Harper and the Tories plans on Global Warming are a farce. Is it any wonder coming from the Conservatives? They claim meeting the Kyoto targets will cost Canadians massive amounts of jobs. Apparently they haven't calculated the cost of doing nothing about the climate crisis. :wacko:

As to "The Great Global Warming Swindle"; if an uninformed person watches this film it may appear to be convincing. The problem is that it's full of inaccurate information. Take out the false information and there is no movie. Top British scientists are demanding these lies be taken out before this hogwash is released on DVD. Freedom of speech does not include deliberate deception on matters that impact the survival of the human species. :spikey:
