Title: Kucinich & Impeachment
Description: back on the table?
whybaby - April 20, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
I've been hearing reports that Dennis Kucinich will be putting impeachment back "on the table" next week. God, I hope so!!! Here's what he has to say about it, from his campaign website:
Transcript for the video "The Impeachment Discussion 04/13/07"
Hi. This is Dennis Kucinich with an update on our discussion about impeachment.
Last month we started a new discussion on our website to gauge the sentiments of the American people on the question of impeachment. I asked, "Is it time to start talking about it?"
The response from the American people was very powerful. I've heard from people from one end of the country to the other, saying not only was it time to begin the talk, but it's time to reclaim our country, to reclaim our high standards.
In my discussions with people in New Hampshire, in Washington State and in Oregon in the last two weeks, I've seen a very serious, purposeful approach to the issue of impeachment. People are discussing it, not from the standpoint of their personal feelings towards Mr. Bush or Mr. Cheney, but they're talking about it from the standpoint of "Who are we as an American people? What are our standards? What is it that we expect from public officials? What should be the conduct of an individual who holds the office of President or Vice President?"
And so, from this very soulful, dedicated approach that people all over the country are demonstrating, I've been listening very carefully in coming to a decision about what course of action should be taken. And I'll give you that decision very soon.
But I want to let you know -- all those of you who are concerned about what's been going on in America -- that I've heard what you have to say, that I've listened to you closely, that I've gone to your meetings in areas from one end of the country to the other. And I want to let you know that all of your concerns have been felt by me, they're accepted by me, and I look forward to speaking with you very soon about a course of action.Thank you.

I'm all for seeing that lying thief and poor excuse for a human being impeached. No one is more deserving than George W. Bush. There is a long list of reasons for impeachment. Let's see him impeached, now. Send him back to Texas a disgraced man.
How much will he get away with???? Bush stole two elections and has disgraced and abused the power of the job he stole. :bad:

Bush and Cheney need to be both impeached ousted and repudiated
Only repudiation will force the public to see how bad it has become
only repudiation will stop Jeb from being elected in the future (and don't tell me the public is not stupid enough to elect him and separate him from W using the I am not incompetent routine.)
And like they say, it must be done, even if it takes the next year to do it, even if it is done the day before the end of his term
It must be done, for the Constitution and for the continuation of the democracy in the United States of America

I sure didn't mean to leave Cheney out, yes definitely he should be impeached right along side his good buddy.
Impeached, ousted, repudiated and imprisoned sounds like a plan to me. If only.......
Please...........NO JEB. He would never win, anyway. He wouldn't have Katherine Harris to help him rig and steal the election.

I recently watched a movie called the Killing of A President that simulated the assination of President. That didn't really upset me but when I heard the words PRESIDENT CHENEY a cold, bone numbing chill ran up my body. If Bush should be impeached than without a doubt Cheney must also go.

It's coming. Look for the press conference tomorrow (Tuesday) around noon. Kucinich plans to pursue Cheney impeachmentBy Joe Milicia, Associated Press Writer | April 23, 2007
CLEVELAND --U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a vocal critic of the Bush administration's war in Iraq, plans to introduce articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney on Tuesday.Breaking News Alerts
Kucinich, a Cleveland Democrat who is again running for president, announced Monday that he will hold a news conference in Washington to discuss his bid to oust Cheney. Kucinich spokeswoman Natalie Laber declined further comment.
Under the House impeachment process, Kucinich's articles would be reviewed by the House Judiciary Committee, which would decide whether to conduct an impeachment inquiry. The committee would seek authority from the entire House before beginning an inquiry.
Cheney spokeswoman Megan McGinn responded to Kucinich's announcement by saying that the vice president has served the nation honorably for almost 40 years.
"The vice president is focused on the serious issues facing our nation," McGinn said Monday.
Kucinich raises the issue of impeachment in a video on his campaign Web site in which he discusses the potential for a U.S. attack against Iran.
Kucinich, whose campaign initiatives in 2004 included opening a department of peace, questions whether the Bush administration's aggressive actions toward Iran already have raised concerns over impeachment.
"So I'm asking you, what do you think? Do you think it's time?" Kucinich says in a video on his Web site.
Lawmakers in the Democratic-controlled Vermont state senate voted Friday to call for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, saying their actions in Iraq and abroad have raised "serious questions of constitutionality."
Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson, a Democrat, last month called for President Bush's impeachment, saying his administration had lied about the reasons for invading Iraq.
(Rocky Anderson for Veep!)A message seeking comment from House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich., was not immediately returned.

Impeach Bush, Impeach Cheney, their criminals. Jail them and Rove as well. Even Jails too good for them. Jeb is no better and should join them in a cell with a 300 lb. bubba.
Cheney spokeswoman Megan McGinn responded to Kucinich's announcement by saying that the vice president has served the nation honorably for almost 40 years.Cheney has never been honorable in his miserable life.
It's time this country was rid of this useless bunch of frauds.
Go Kucinich, you seem to be the only one in office with enough guts to bring it up.

It says the country thinks Clinton getting a little on the side is worse than Bush and Cheney lying to the country, invading a country for kicks, having thousands of soldiers die for their whim, throwing out the constitution, denying the average citizen his civil rights, robbing our coffers for their rich friends, putting totally unqualified bushies in positions of power and that we have a cowardly congress.
If they won't even consider impeaching crooks and war profiteers what good are they...nothing. Their worth less than spit on a pump handle as my grandfather used to say.
:wtf:

I guess we'll have to wait a little longer...
Cheney returns to work after leg check-up
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney returned to work on Tuesday after an ultrasound exam showed a blood clot in his leg was gradually improving, his office said...
The medical examination of Cheney prompted Rep. Dennis Kucinich, an Ohio Democrat running for president, to postpone a news conference where he planned to call for the impeachment of the vice president. His proposal is expected to be a long shot.
"Until the vice president's condition is clarified, I am placing any action on hold," Kucinich said in a statement.
Long shot or not, please contact your Rep. and ask him or her to co-sponsor the impeachment resolution.
Oh, P.S.: How does anyone have four heart attacks without a heart?
