Title: Sheryl Crow Environmental concerts

al001 - April 17, 2007 06:08 PM (GMT)
If you haven't seen this. Sheryl Crow has kicked of a tour of the nations campus's to promote Al Gore's concerns of environmental concerns. The shows first appeared at SMU in Dallas and should be an excellent prelude to the Gore shows that will be held world wide. It is a clear indication that what is good, just and badly needed for all the earths population can bring many together toward a change for awareness and improvement. We have Al Gore to think for this movement and we need him as President to promote honesty and decently in government. If he would just run the movement would grow exponentially.

Sheryl Crow?????? Wasn't she engaged to that arrogant friend of George W. Bush..........Lance Armstrong????? :?:

al001 - April 17, 2007 06:28 PM (GMT)
I don't know. But it is possible. I'm just not sure.

ALGOREismylife - April 17, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it is. I just can't warm up to anyone who has connections to Bush or a Bushie. <_<

AGIML, I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for bringing it too my attention. I also agree that I have have trouble with anyone associated with Bush or his cronies.

More proof about Armstrong and Bush. What's weird about this is way before I knew they were friends of course I hated Bush, but I always thought that Armstrong was an arrogant jerk. And I often thought that all the 'Tour de France' wins might have been rigged and then I find out he's friends with Bush. Not really a big surprise with their smug Texan attitudes. :bad:

I remember this. It was when he chose to ride a bike instead of talking to Cindy Sheehan who was less than a minute away and begging for a meeting. I'm from Texas and consider him and all his family a disgrace to the state. Some of us are not his arrogant type but fairly decent people. But I understand what your saying. The one's who are arrogant are so at a higher level than almost anyone alive. The funny part is Bush's arrogance is manufactured since he is not a native Texas but a want a be and their the worse kind. Regretfully Armstrong is a product of Texas.

ALGOREismylife - April 18, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)
I'm sure there are some decent Texans like yourself, but it's something about the rich and/or talented ones or in Bush's case had everything handed to him because he's rich. I know Bush was born in Conneticut, but he fits in with the arrogant types.

I don't know if you know who Tim Duncan is. He was definitely not born in Texas, (plays for the SAN ANTONIO SPURS) but he is one arrogant SOB who thinks he's above everyone in the NBA. His actions were enough to get an NBA official of 30 years suspended for the rest of the season. They think they are above the rest of us and that sucks. :bad:

al001 - April 18, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
When I said some I guess I should have clarified that statement with a few because most are as you said and it seems that the other arrogant SOB's from other states are flocking here because we don't have a state income tax and that adds to their already obscene wealth. That's why we're stuck with the whole damn Bush family.

Texas Proud...not really.

Well as far as I know Jebby and his pathetic family are still in Florida, the home of stolen election 2000. They can have all the Bushies they want, we sure don't want them our here, although I do know someone with the last name Bush. I doubt they are related, they work and work hard.

al001 - April 18, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
Your right about Jeb. I just hope he stays there when he's out of office. And even bigger fear we face is Cheney. He moved from Highland Park in Dallas when he chose to run on the ticket with Bush. In Texas a party where both President and Vice-President on the same ticket are living in Texas they can't get the Texas electoral votes. So he quickly moved. There are still questions as to when exactly he left Texas and if it was legal. Bush appointees decided it was. Now we're all praying when he's out of office he'll stay out of Texas.

ALGOREismylife - April 18, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
Born to lie, steal and cheat................that's definitely Bush and Cheney.

Sheryl may have had the hots for Lance but she has nothing but contempt for Rowe. (But then I can't think of anyone but Bush that has the hots for Rowe. Wonder where Laura sleeps when Rowe's in town?

Except from Huffington Post

In his attempt to dismiss us, Mr. Rove turned to head toward his table, but as soon as he did so, Sheryl reached out to touch his arm. Karl swung around and spat, "Don't touch me." How hardened and removed from reality must a person be to refuse to be touched by Sheryl Crow? Unphased, Sheryl abruptly responded, "You can't speak to us like that, you work for us." Karl then quipped, "I don't work for you, I work for the American people." To which Sheryl promptly reminded him, "We are the American people..."

I must add my part and that is that Rowe DOES NOT work for the American People. He works for himself and no one else. He only licks the Presidents dang to get what Rowe wants. The good of the country has absoluately no concern to him.

Karl Rove frosts and fumes at Sheryl Crowe

By Stone Martindale
Apr 24, 2007, 15:27 GMT

Republican strategist and often referred to as the brain behind the Bush throne, Karl Rove, had a run-in with Green queen Sheryl Crowe and her partner in cause, Laurie David, at the Correspondents' dinner.

The White House Correspondents Dinner had an array of guests from Sanjaya to Sheryl.

When the songstress was introduced to Rove, she asked him about Global warming issues, and according to Crow and David on their posted Huffington Blog, "he immediately got combative. And it went downhill from there."

Said David and Crow:"We reminded the senior White House advisor that the US leads the world in global warming pollution and we are doing the least about it. Anger flaring, Mr. Rove immediately regurgitated the official Administration position on global warming which is that the US spends more on researching the causes than any other country."

"We felt compelled to remind him that the research is done and the results are in (www.IPCC.ch). Mr. Rove exploded with even more venom. Like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum, Mr. Rove launched into a series of illogical arguments regarding China not doing enough thus neither should we."

David and Crowe write that they became "heartbroken" over the President of the United States and his top advisers deluding themselves that global warming as not being real.

According to David, "Sheryl reached out to touch his arm. Karl swung around and spat, 'Don't touch me.' How hardened and removed from reality must a person be to refuse to be touched by Sheryl Crow?"

David claims Crowe retorted: "You can't speak to us like that, you work for us."

Karl, according to David, replied: "I don't work for you, I work for the American people." Adding Sheryl stated, "We are the American people."

Let's thank Crowe for standing up tp Rove, and forgive her for dating Lance, at least she had better sense than to marry him. She is now working on an important issue and many thanks to Gore for thinking of the American people and our future.

Once heard someone say "Even the best of people can make a mistake and hook-up with the devil."

I guess Sheryl Crowe isn't all bad. She did break up with that arrogant and egotistical Bush loving Armstrong.

And just putting up with Pig Rove is bad enough. He was horribly rude to her. So typical of Bushies. Karl Rove really is a PIG. :bad:

Well Crows gaff on toliet paper hurts us all! These stupid pronuncements make all democrats look out there past pluto!

I will refrain from telling the field expedient way to utilize toliet paper for those non Viet Vets! She actually said to use your sleeve?

Would you like her autograph or handshake now???

whybaby - April 26, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
I don't think there was anything about using your sleeve! :!: I heard that Sheryl Crow had said to use one square - as a joke. (Apparently, it went over like a lead balloon, somewhat like McCain's "Bomb Iran" singing attempt at humor).

Anyone remember the Seinfeld episode with Elaine and Jerry's new girlfriend meeting up in the bathroom?

Can you spare some toilet paper?
No, I just can't.
You can't spare any? How 'bout just 3 squares?
No, I don't have any to spare.
Oh please! Just ONE square. Can't you just spare one single square?
No, I can't spare a square!

(It's possible that my memory of trivia such as this means that I need to get a life...) :P

whybaby - April 26, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
Oh, and P.S. I love Sheryl Crow. Let's give her a break about Lance Armstrong (even though he seems to be self-centered and musclebound). If we were all judged by our now and then romantic misjudgements, I'm sure the vast majority of us would be in a whole lotta trouble!

:coolwink:

Besides his arrogance, like I mentioned in previous posts, Armstrong is a friend of George W. Bush, another self-centered idiot as we all know. I just have a problem trusting anyone with any connections to Bush.
