Title: Today's Congressional Appearance
Description: His Information Made My Eyes Well Up
tolerford - March 22, 2007 07:53 AM (GMT)
Slept through the hearing live. Waited hours tonight for it finallly to be replayed in full.
He was beyond eloquent. His comportment was fully self-assured, and it moved me to finally have the truth spoken, defended and clarified. I didn't watch the Senate appearance.
He doesn't look well to me. He looks with his weight gain as if he's dealing with an illness. It concerns me.
I think, completely excepting how he looks, that if he wanted the Presidency, he would by now have announced. I feel no need to draft him by popular pressure. I think he may not have announced because he'd rather devote himself to global warming, because he may be ill, or for further reasons.
He has a rare sense of humor and self-awareness that tremendously comforts me. Given how long we've all known this science is genuine, his sitting there today saying so made me feel like I'd lost fifty pounds of depression.

I think, tolerford, that you haven't seen him much lately if you think he looks sickly because of his weight. He actually looks better now than he's looked in years. He's down a good 25-30 pounds from where he was a year ago. He looked well-rested, vital, and relaxed.
And yes, he was beyond eloquent. I watched both the House and Senate testimony. I got tears in my eyes during his opening statement in the Senate. He is so passionate, so genuine, so . . . everything a person ought to be to be President of the U.S.

I watched the hearing too. Al was great. You can tell he is really passionate about global warming and I agree with him. And he was eloquent and knew his subject very well. I really hopes he decides to run as President. We really need him.
It really irritates me that those select few Senators tried to discredit him. They seem so desperate to shrug this all off as hogwash because they are threatend by Al. Run, Al, run!!

I don't think we have to worry too much about those few who tried to discredit him. They were so obviously out of their league.

Yes, they definitely are in a league of their own. And I guess I really shouldn't be surprised with their juvenile behavior. I know they are motivated by their own interests.
Let's keep our fingers cross that Al will run.

Welcome tolerford, I don't think AL looks sickly, he may be a bit tired. After all, he's been a very busy man for months. Check out these photos from yesterday.

Yeah, what was Inhofe's degree in again? Oh yeah- economics. Taking environmental advice from him is like taking auto repair advice from a history teacher.
