There are many reasons why Al Gore should run in 2008,I did not even know until watching the news tonight that it was a possibility, The US car comoanies are in deep trouble,all Airlines are going bankrupt. There are no more entry level jobs of any type in this country any more. The way I see it my grandchildren and their children will not be able to own their own home or car. I am only 50 but my new car cost as much as I paid for my first house. My son graduated college after 5 years with a major and minor,in June 2005 and he has not yet been able to find a good job or even a decent job with health insurance, he is living at home and we are supporting him,yet he still owes 30,000$ of his college tuition this is unbelievable. We are giveing 10 billion more dollars to Afganistan,we already gave 14 billion since 2001, Unbelieveable amount of money in Iraq(and lives) and yet we have 47 million uninsured americans. We have whole middle class families loseing their homes and in shelters, there is so much more I can go on forever. We need someone in charge of this country who is Smart,Compassionate,Honest and realizes that if he does not know something it is not embarassing to get expert help. If we do not do the right thing in 2008,I am afraid it might be too late,we have declined so much since President Clinton left. This would have been a different world,if Al Gore received what was rightly his. Thanks for Listening

We believe it's a real possibility that Gore will run in 2008, and we have good reason to think that. In fact, we've launched a major national campaign to get him to run. But I think even without our help, he's going to make the decision.

Is there any chance you'd want to help us in our campaign? We're working in conjunction with AlGore.org to get Gore meetup groups going across the country. AlGore.org will pay the registration fee ($72) of any person who wants to register to organize a group through Meetup.com. We've been so successful in the one short month since launching the campaign that we've gone from 8 groups in late December to 52 groups now (and counting).

We support our organizers with lots of materials, agendas, and a mentor to guide you through the whole process. We do everything we can to make your meetup a success because we want the campaign to succeed. We want to see Al Gore walking down Pennsylvania Avenue in January 2009 with Tipper at his side.

The American economy is in sad shape, the loss of manufacturing jobs, the health care crisis, the budget and trade deficits all are formidable obstacles.

However ;)

With the right leadership we can look forward to a better future once again. Just as our great Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt faced the Great Depression and the rise of Fascism and WWII and won, when Americans work together with the right leaders we have done great things before. And when President Gore takes office we will do great things once again :good:

We need a leader who sees the change away from fossil fuels as an opportunity to create millions of good new jobs and not a burden to their puppet-masters in Big Oil.
