I'm not sure if Al Gore himself actually gets a chance to read all of these, but over the past few weeks, I have started to follow the topic of global warming... Although I have not seen the movie yet, I have every intention to do so...!
Currently I join many americans in driving a gas guzzling vehicle, which I love to be in.... but sense getting more serious in researching this devastating topic.. I have also begun my search in buying a hybrid vehicle. I now realize how important it is to use a more fuel efficient way of transportation..
My question is this - I hear that hybrid vehicle manufacturers do not offer lease options. Now when it comes to actually having to buy one of these cars - monthly payments are not cheap..... in fact, my gas guzzling 40 thousand dollar car costs me way less then a new payment would be on a much smaller hybrid... Is there anything we can do to lower the cost of the vehicles....? Or a way to make them more affordable by leasing them....?
If all of these car manufacturers KNOW that hybrid cars are by far the better choice for the environment, why is it that they can't make them more affordable....?
I hope nobody takes offense to my question and or opinions on the matter, because I can be honest and say that I am still obviously very new to all of this and have plenty more to learn on the subject.... but I figured this would be a good start!!
