We nominate him and we LOSE. Nothing special there folks, just a guy who can give a good speech, but with no record, no experience, and not a hope of contending against big shots in the prime time Presidential race.

You are correct. Evan Bayh is the worst, and there were reasons Al Gore did not pick him as VP, and John Kerry did not pick him as VP. Gut instinct is always correct. Any of the other candidates would do much better, however Al Gore will only pick someone who did not vote for Iraq.
That is central to Gore's thinking, so Barack Obama would qualify as he did not vote against Iraq.
I still say Gore if he doesn't take Obama would take someone not currently in office, or someone not necessarily in the talk now.
Maybe Webb would be a good choice. Maybe Barbara Boxer would be another.
And one could never go wrong with Howard Dean. (who only said he wasn't running for the top spot, and only if he remained DNC head).

ReelectGore, I think you've misread what FellowDem. was saying. He's a Bayh fan. I believe he was saying that if we nominate Wes Clark we lose.

Someone not being talked about or thought about? Hmmm... My favorite fantasy these days...
Al Gore and Bill Moyers
Bill Moyers is fantastic. From Texas. Worked for LBJ. Worked as an exec of the Peace Corps. A quiet Tom Paine progressive. Philosopher-king of journalism. Interviewer par excellence of poets, anthropologists, world leaders, preachers, artists, people of science. Lover of democracy. Baptist minister. Thoughtful and honorable. Stands for all that is good, and without making divisions or making people nervous. Not a politician. People respect and trust him. I have nothing negative to say about Bill Moyers, not one damn thing.
I wonder if Our Hero has thought of him?

I always liked Bill Moyers too. "Bill Moyers Journal" was good. Isn't he up in years, though? And where's he been lately?
edit: ok, i looked him up - he's 72, "He is currently president of the Schumann Center for Media and Democracy and lives in New York City."

Evan Bayh is out.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...id=aKRuvRDs0oc4I don't know, i kinda like Clark. I'd pick him for VP. But I don't care who VP is right now, all I want is Gore to be the main guy on the ticket.

FellowDemocrat: I'm not criticizing your post I just found the term Air America amusing. Air America was a CIA operation in Vietnam. It was latter sold to Flying Tigar airline which was the airline that took me to Vietnam.
I remember one guy ask for a glass of water and the attendant told him to get it himself.
As I said this has nothing to do with the contents of your post nor was it meant to.

I don't know what Evan Bayh has to do with this post but...
What the post was about, was Obama's lack of experience and no record of doing ANYTHING, either in his time as a State Senator (Just two years ago), or his stint as a U.S. Senator.
Not to mention that we don't even know how he would fair in the prime time Presidential politics. His record includes getting CREAMED by tough competition. The only reason why he's a Senator is because his opponent was ALAN KEYES! LOL.
"That's the best America deserves, a guy who can give a speech?"
"What's Obama done? anything?"

No, earthmother, that's not what i was trying to say. take out Clark's name and throw in Obama's and, then, you will have it correct.
I don't know how you came to that conclusion, considering the title of this topic is, as follows:

As a matter a fact, i'm a BIG Wesley Clark fan. Not only did i vote for him in 2004, but he may also get my vote this year, now that Evan Bayh is out. This could change, though, if Al Gore enters.

Air America is also the name for the Liberal talk radio show, which is played all over the country.

Because on my screen, I couldn't see the "Burn Obama part." Sorry. But at least I got the part right about you not saying Bayh was the worst

I know of the talk show and admire their efforts. We need a liberal talk show. Like I said I just found the term amusing, or should I say a reminder of the long past. I was only joking, not condemning Air America or any of it's staff. I think their doing great on a shoe string and against the mass amount of Conservative B.S. that is flooding the air now.
