Title: Election '06 General Thoughts

A few things about the election last week first i'm stunned about Ohio going blue. I thought they were going to have trouble due to the voting machines but i'm glad that after all these years of republican rule and corruption,it has finally come to an end.

I'm happy Colorado is now blue, which is Karl Rove's hometown,as is Arkansas.

For NY,i'm glad we won a few more seats in the assembly, the attorney general's race and we even won 3 house seats.

Dean's 50 state strategy did indeed help and what a success it was.

Overall a great week for democrats and it feels so good to regain control of congress and be the kings of washington again.

Thanks AP215

I'm feeling much better too. Thinking positive, being optimistic, having faith in the basic goodness of the American people; it doesn't always work but it beats the alternative

Of course, many of us think Ohio was Blue on 2004 an Mr. Blackwell turned things Red. There's even speculation the CIA prevented the voting machines from being tampered with this time. Who knows?. Still, these hackable machines have to go.

Isn't it strange the Army Times, etc. called for Rumsfeld resignation and a Democratic congress on Monday and that's what happened the next day?

Keep the faith and we will celebrate Al Gore's re-election in 24 months  :good: :o

Why isn't Dean getting more credit for his 50-state strategy? It was an unqualified success!

Here's an overall view on how many races we won last week.

On another board someone said that when it got really bad, and someone is trying to really subvert the constitution, there are "people" who are in place to not let it happen.
Who's oath is always to the Constitution and nothing but the Constitution.
So at the darkest hour, that is when they step in and make sure it doesn't happen.

Sure looks like they snipped Cheney's head off, and left W like a stunned animal.

So maybe it is true.

Maybe they did save the day. I always hoped that it was true, that there is one more check and balance on our system.

Sure seems like it was true.

And yes, Rahm and Chuck Schumer are stealing Dean's credit.
If we value Al Gore, we should do something about that, because Rahm and Chuck are on Hillary's side, no question about it.

Also-the progressive left populist side was the winner in almost all cases.
The only set back was Lieberman, however, Harold Ford took the hit on the right sight, so they cancel each other out.

The anti-war, wanting change is what came in. So don't let the spin of that fool you either.

If Gore gets in, the timing of his point of view is the correct one.

I was thinking about that myself, even on election night. Nobody really talked about Howard, but he definitely came through for us.

The Doctor is in.
