Title: Gore called Convention Winner
Description: on CNN's Capitol Gang

It's odd to hear Margaret Carlson say something nice about any Democrat, particularly Al Gore, but here is the quote from the show's transcript:
SHIELDS: Winners and losers of the Democratic national convention -- who was the big winner in Beantown?
SHIELDS: Margaret?
CARLSON: Al Gore, the comeback vice president, who was -- who's given a few very harsh speeches, but with great grace reminded us that every vote counts. CNN CAPITAL GANG

Margaret Carlson is generally a reasonable human being. I think there were several winners at the convention, and for sure Gore was one of them.
New CNN poll numbers this morning show Kerry 52% and Bush 44%. Unfortunately, that's the popular vote. The states that are for Bush remain solidly for Bush, and since we all know it's the electoral votes that matter, the possibility of another four years with a moron in the White House still exists.

Look at what Bob Novak said:
| QUOTE |
NOVAK: I would say President Bush has huge troubles. He's a very unpopular person. This is very shaky Democratic coalition that we have now that could come apart. But I'll tell you, if I had the two sets of problems to choose from, I'd rather have the Democrats' problems than the Republicans.

Isn't it nice when people on either side can be reasonable? I can't believe Bob Novak said that. I wonder if we'll ever get back to a point where we can actually listen to each other and know that we disagree without being disrespectful and nasty.

I'm never sure about her. She claims to be a liberal yet this is the first good thing I've ever hear her say about Gore. But she praises Bush and even included his name in the title of her last book.

Yea, I have saw where she has really bashed Gore in the past. She is really wishy washy.
