At approx. 11:55 CST. They have played all of his acceptance speeches.
I missed it because I was watching Kerry. How did Gore's 2000 speech compare to Kerry's?
It hasn't come on yet. 11:55 CST.
I watched it, and he was so good. It was really striking, though, the difference in how relatively simple the issues were then compared to now. Not much to get fired up about. He was running on a solid eight-year record of peace and prosperity, with little foreign conflict, and no recent Rep. president to bash. Despite all that, it was a damn good speech, and so well delivered. He was so much more comfortable speaking than Kerry was tonight. His mannerisms were relaxed and genuine, his speech natural, and he seemed very self-confident.
Hard to believe it was just four years ago. I feel sad all over again.
