Title: Staff changes at GSC

earthmother - September 19, 2006 01:56 PM (GMT)
Dear valued members of GSC:

In the last few weeks, there have been some changes made to the staff here at GSC. I thought I'd recap what's going on so everyone will know who's doing what at this point.

First off, in case anyone hasn't noticed, Chris (GSC admin) isn't here much anymore. He basically just checks in every once in a while to make sure that the site hasn't self-destructed. He's very busy with working on Harold Ford's campaign in TN, as well as going to college, and he put me in charge here by making me an administrator. It's been fun learning the ropes, but I think I've figured most of it out.

Since I'm now an admin., the super mod. position is now open. I've offered it to our beloved Erin, and I'm awaiting her response.

Meanwhile, James Aquila is no longer a moderator at GSC. If I move Erin up to super mod., that leaves us with only one active moderator. Our dear friend AGIML remains to hold down the moderator fort for us. But we really need more moderation than that. One of GSC's strengths, I believe, is that we're a very well moderated board.

To fill the holes left by promotions and resignations, we've brought on two new moderators. These members are rather new to GSC, but they've both been very active at AG.org. They're a welcome addition to our site.

I worked with Wayne in WA State on the national initiative surrounding the opening of "Truth." He was appointed task-force chair for the state of Washington in that initiative.

The other mod. we've brought on is dbciii. Don is a rock-solid Gore supporter and has been very active at AG.org.

Both of these new mods. are highly knowledgeable, rational, mature, and wise. They'll be strong assets as we chug toward the finish line, which hopefully will come when Gore is inaugurated in Jan. 2009.

I encourage all members to be as active as possible both on the board and in all pursuits that will help move Gore closer to the decision of running in '08. We have a valuable role to play in making our dream come to fruition, and we should take it seriously.

Best to all--EM
