Edwards' older daughter, dressed in real retro 1960s attire and hairdo, introduced her mother Elizabeth, who in turn, introduced her husband John. The daughter and the mother did fine jobs speaking. Elizabeth paled in comparison to Teresa, but that's okay. There are few people who can get a whole sentence out in public without tripping over it, let alone deliver an entire speech to the Democratic convention and the whole United States. They are brave and competent women.
Edwards' speech was quite good. I wouldn't say he's the world's most inspirational speaker, but he did a very good job of delivering his message. The crowd ate it right up. And what a comforting thought for us to be able to think that hope is on the way, and that perhaps, come January 2005, we will be able to begin to set this country back on the right track.
"Hope is on the way!"
Edwards was very inspiring! Lets hope they can win and get some things done when they get to their destination.
I wasn't really impressed after seeing Gore-Clinton-Obama.
Those were really hard acts to follow!
I really felt sorry for Graham having to follow Sharpton!
