Title: Religion Needs an apocalypse
Description: Vindication

My concern is the religious nut that believes the apocalypse is coming. It is part of their belief structure and they desperately need it to happen. I guess it's that "I told you so" thing inside of all of us. They want to be right so badly they don't have any investment in helping the earth. They in fact have more to gain by life on earth being reduced back to a single cellular existence. They have no idea of what god has given us. Heaven is right here on earth. Heaven, in my opinion, is not a piece of realestate in the sky. Happiness is here in the paths we take every day. The religous nut loses sight of thier laws. If you cause your own demise you can't get into the clubhouse (Heaven).

Just a thought :D

It's true that many on the religious right are those who are fighting Al Gore's climate crisis message. And many of them have a very arrogant attitude toward our role as stewards of this planet. I'm not a religious person, but I strongly believe that humans have an obligation, as the most intelligent species, to take care of the planet for all of its inhabitants, whether animal or plant.

But the religious right, which is a conservative group, doesn't see things that way. Many believe that humans have the right to exploit and abuse the Earth, and I guess they must feel that, somehow, God will make it okay and not allow things to get to a state where the environment can no longer sustain us.

I hope they see the light before it's too late.
