She lost by 5,000 votes yesterday against Brian Bilbray for the CA-50 seat 56,130-51,292. Last time she campaign for this seat she lost by 20%,this time only 4%.

One thing about this race the DCCC placed a video of Gore uring the people to vote for Busby the day before the election.

There will be a rematch for the full term in Nov so if you can 5,000 voters and would like to take over this district, then pass this link to everyone out there to support Francine and let's show the world we can win in red districts.

Sure, it was a lot closer this time, but why concede the election when you are down by only 5,000 votes and there are 50,000 absentee ballots left to count? Her concession seemed a bit premature.

Reminded me somewhat of John Kerry conceding to Bush in 2004 before we could all say, "Wait!" Now, thanks to John Conyers, RFK, Jr., and others, we see that the Republicans, once again, pulled every trick they could to keep Bush in office. It's a damn shame that the Republican Party has no shame.

I am still pretty discouraged about even the prospect of taking back the House and/or Senate. As badly as Bush has screwed up, I feel certain that they will be able to rig enough voting machines to maintain their majority, and the Democrats are giving lip service to the problem, if that much. The Republican chairmen want nothing to do with voting reform right now, fairness be damned, and I don't hear any Dems speaking out about it.

Result? The Republicans will maintain their majorities in November.

This is a perfect wake-up call to the dems who think winning Congress in November is gonna be a cake wake...
