Title: Kerry/Edwards Way Ahead in Electoral Votes?

According to recent nationwide polls, the presidential race is a dead heat, with the spread within the margin of error. Some have Bush ahead by a couple of points, some have Kerry ahead by a couple of points.

But take a look at the way the race is represented by www.electoral-vote.com, which tracks polls state-by-state and takes electoral votes into account. Their electoral college tally is Kerry 332, Bush 195.

Wouldn't it be funny if Bush won the popular vote and Kerry won the electoral vote. If that happened I bet every right-wing pundit would denounce the system and the first act of the GOP congress would be to abolish the electoral college.

Bet you're right about that!

But I really hope Bush doesn't win the popular vote, because that would give him a legitimacy he doesn't deserve. We really have to prove--AGAIN--that he's NOT the people's choice, regardless of the electoral vote.
